Intercessory Prayer 7.1.24 (Settle In for the Shift)
Welcome to Turn Away and Pray Tuesday, I am Jennifer Murphy and I am honored to usher you into the presence of God through prayer. Also, to reinforce our prayers on Tuesday we join together as believers in a corporate fast sacrificing natural food for spiritual enrichment during a specified time. You can join the fast 6am-12noon, 6am-3pm, or 6am-6pm. The discpline of fasting not only enhances your sensitivity to the the things of God but it releases the anointing, the favor and blessings of God.
You are the light of the world. A city located on top of a hill cannot be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and place it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it shines on all those in the house. In the same way let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
It is our life’s purpose to shine forth the light of God so that others may see and desire that same light to bring honor and glory to our Father in heaven. Although we stand in trying times, our God promises never to leave us nor forsake so as we enter into His presece today. I want to encourage you to settle into the presence of God. Your thoughts, your ideas, your upsets, your past shortcomings. As you settle in to his presence, I ask that you open youreself up to not only to be shined upon but to be shined through. We want the brilliance of all that our Daddy God has to shine through us so that when people see us, they see him and he gets all the glory!
We enter into your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise this morning Lord. We your people are gathered together just to honor your great name. We call you, our Father who art in heaven hallowed be your name, honorable, matchless, sacred, holy, powerful is your name. Glorious is your name, precious is your name. There is none greater, none large, none more signifcant than our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Nothing comes close to the Wonder you are. Savior, Master, Keeper, Redeemer we worship you this morning. The songwriter said, If I had ten thousand tongues it wouldn’t be enough because of who you are! Another songwriter said “He’s a wonder in my soul, bless his name” Come on, those of you who are joining me this morning let’s begin to bless his name. His word tells us in John 4:23
But an hour is coming—and now is here—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for indeed the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers.
So, come on worships let’s open our mouths and tell our Father in heaven how much he means to us, how he’s opened doors that no man can shut and shut doors that no man can open. Come on somebody ought to express their love and gratitude this morning for God being faithful, for being kind, for being loving, for the times he worked it out over and over again. God we bless your name this morning, we honor your presence right now. We know that you are the Lion of Judah, you are our prince of peace, you are the Holy One, you are Jehovah God, you are Jehovah Jireh our provider, Jehovoh Nissi our Victory, Jehovah Shamah a present God! Come on enter in, settle in. The bible tells us in Mathew 8:20 “ where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The Lord our God is here with us, and I don’t want to miss out on what he’s downloading today. I partner with the Holy spirit and say have your way this morning, move on us as we yield to you, Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us, we ask that you fill our cups this morning and let them overflow. We rise early to say thank you Lord, for waking us up. For breathing the breathe of life into our lungs again, that means you have purpose for us today. You saw fit for us to live and for that we give you praise. So we settle in, to be endowed with power from on high to fulfill your calling on our lives.
Someone may be tuning in this morning, and you may not understand why you are on this live today but I am here to remind you. That God has need of you, he has need of his light to shine through you. He’s calling you close this morning. He’s calling you to shed darkness and accept his light. He’s a God that looks beyond our faults, our flaws, our inadequacies, our shortcomings and meets us right where we are. He’s here this morning, to meet your needs according to his riches in glory. As you settle in today, as you pour out all that you’ve been holding on to, He’s here to meet you, to restore you, to strenghten you, to deliver you, to heal you. Whatever, you stand in the need of, God is well able to meet the need. Come on, whereever you are just open your mouth and tell him what you need. The more seasoned saints would say “Jesus is on the main line, tell him what you want” Come on, He’s not only ON the main line, He is the MAIN line, the main line to your deliverance, the main line to your peace, the main line to your breakthrough, the main line to get your loved one out of a life of addiction, the main line to disrupt old mindsets and thought patterns, the main line to bring comfort to a grieving heart, the main line to restore broken spirits and heal wounded souls. Come on Call him up and tell him what you want” and I know him to be a miracle working God, He will not leave you comfortless, though the storms of life may rage, my God is an ON TIME God. He will deliver, he will restore, he will strengthen, he will bring peace to chaos, brokeness to wholeness, lack to abundance. Come on call him up and tell him what you want. Tell him “I need your light this morning” darkness cannot comprehend the light of our savior. Come on Tell him “I need your light to shine through every dark circumstance in my life” Come on, you can’t be anxious or afraid with the Light of the world living inside of you! Sickness you have no place, where the light of the world lives, Come on begin to speak over that dark area that has been taunting you, the darkness that has entangled you. Come on, I’m here to tell you that darkness lose it’s power when light comes on the scene. Some of you under the sound of my voice, need to shine your light and confuse darkeness, shine your light in your relationships, on your job, in your spheres of influence and cause darkness to take a back seat. Let the light shine over your marriage, I know it seems too far gone, like your back is up against the wall. But I’m reminded of God’s word that says in Collosians 3:2 “Set your mind on things above and not on things on earth” that means when you settle in to God’s presence and allow his light to shine through you, you can set your mind on his promises, your mind on his peace, and your mind on his provision and lean not to your own limited understanding. Because he can do anything that you bring to him, but you must settle in and hear what the spirit is saying concerning you. Your eyes must shift and look to the hills from whence cometh your help, for your help is coming from the Lord. Come on settle in and ask God to shift your eyes, shift my eyes Lord so I only see you in this situation, shift my eyes Lord until I see it turning around, Shift my eyes Lord unti my health comes back, shift my eyes Lord until my business turns around, Shift my eyes Lord until my children are saved, shift my eyes Lord until the pain in my heart ceases to exist, shift my eyes Lord so that I am able forgive, shift my eyes Lord so that I can see you clearly Lord. I’m settling in so that your light can shine through me, I’m settling so that your word can feed me and grant me the wisdom I need for this season of my life. I’m settling in so that you will get the glory out of me. Come on tell him “Lord get the glory out of me” Whatever you lost, God is saying it will not compare to the glory that shall be revealed in you. But you have to settle in and allow your eyes to be shifted. Shifted to believe again, shifted to see Him in every circumstance. God is here, and he desires you to settle in. There’s so much more he has for you, his word says in Luke 12:48
Luke 12:48 KJV
And to whom much is given, much is required
God is saying there’s more I require of you, will you say YES? Will you settle in to obtain the blessing of the Lord? He has greater for you. As you settle in to the God that does all things well, the God that makes the impossible possible, the God that takes little and turns it into much, the God that can surround you with the right people for your purpose, the God that can transform your heart and renew your mind, the God that heals, set free, and delivers, the God that builds, enlarges, expands, the one who fills and then re-fills. Come on settle in, to the God who comforts, and brings freedom. Some of you have been waiting for a sign, this is your sign. Settle in, surrender, give in to the one who calling you to greater. It’s time to let your light shine, and disrupt every dark plan of the enemy, shine your light and reclaim your vision, reclaim your dreams, He’s here to restore someone’s freedom. You can live for him, you are worthy of His love, you are worthy of his blessings, you are worthy of his gifting. Shine your light, wake up and shine your light. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers us out of them all. He didn’t say the road would be easy, but He promised to be with us always. Come on my brother, my sister settle in, and shine your light. Someone else is counting on your breakthrough today, someone is counting on your obedience, someone is countining on your YES today. Settle in, and ask God to rekindle the fire that once burned for his presence, for his word, for his people. He is a restorer and He has not forgotten about you. I pull down every stronghold that has held you captive, every deceptive cycle that has been plagueing your mind and your faith. I cancel the assignment of the evil one and declare every plot, snare and trap be rendered null and void. You are a child of the most High God, full of faith and not afraid, you are the head and not the tail, you are above and not beneath. You will be all that God is calling you to be. Shine your light daughter, shine your light son, shine your light! Our Father has need of you, greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world. Come out from among those that don’t mean you no good and be seperate. Be set apart, be who God has called you to be. Maybe you’re struggling with understanding what he’s calling you to, that’s okay....if you settle in and begin to speak to him I know from experience he will speak back to you.
Come on as we are closing out this prayer, I want to challenge you to get real quiet, and in this quietness I want you to ask the Lord to shift your eyes, shift your eyes to see something that you’ve never seen before. Shift your eyes to be stirred again in His presence. Shift your eyes to believe that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Shift your eyes to see beyond the hurt and pain of your situation. I know it’s not easy and I know you’ve seen better days, He promises that he will be with you and you can ask for his help. I know that we serve a God that wants to bless us, wants to heal us, wants to deliver us, wants to make a way out of no way, wants to restore joy and give you a garment of praise! Your story will not end right here. Oh I feel a praise breaking forth!!! Come on out of your mouth say it “My story will not end here’!
God has more for you. Tell him one more time, I’m shifting my eyes Lord so that I see you’
Lord, we thank you for every answered prayer and for your divine presence to go with each and every person under the sound of my voice. May they experience the greater that you have for them and may their light shine so bright that others are drawn to you. We give you praise, glory and honor in Jesus name. Amen
As you go throughout the rest of today. Keep declaring “I’m settling into your presence so that your light can shine through me”. Speak life and allow the light of the world to disable all darkness. It’s in your mouth, release it and watch things change.
May the blessing of the Lord make rich and add no sorrow. Be Blessed and I’ll see you next time on Turn Away and Pray Tuesday.
