*Read scripture*
2 Kings 5:9-14
9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. 11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
King James Version (WORDsearch Edition) (WORDsearch, n.d.), 2 Ki 5:9–12.
In verse 11 Naaman was too prideful and that kept him from getting rid of his leprosy.
There was nothing in his power that he could do to get rid of his leprosy.
HUMBLE YOURSELF
HUMBLE YOURSELF
James 4:6
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
King James Version (WORDsearch Edition) (WORDsearch, n.d.), Jas 4:6.
Basically what that verse his saying is that “God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble”
If you have pride you will be stuck forever, you will be in bondage to a place that you’re in, you will never unchain yourself from the anchor around your neck as long as you are prideful.
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
James 4:10
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
King James Version (WORDsearch Edition) (WORDsearch, n.d.), Jas 4:9–10.
If you need help the first thing you need to do is put away your pride and humble yourself and only then you can put your faith in God, because God resist the proud.
OBEDIENCE
OBEDIENCE
Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
God is with you always, He has a great plan for your life. You don’t need to do anything except to be strong and courageous.
Dont try to figure it out, dont reason it, dont make sure you got everything you need. All you need to do is obey him and do what he is telling you to do that’s what Naaman had to do when he went into the Jordon.
First he had to let go of his pride and humble himself.
Second he needed to obey what God was telling him to do.
Naaman didn’t need to take his chariots or anything like that. He tried to figure out a way that he could cure himself when he didn’t like the way he was originally given. All he needed to do was to humble himself, obey, and then put his faith in God. The question is “will you put your faith in God and humble yourself and also obey Him when you have been through struggle after struggle, giant after giant.
