Are you Willing?

Luke 5:13 “And extending his hand he touched him, saying, “I am willing; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy went away from him.”

Include a story of stubborn/ Egoistic man finding God.

Many time we face our own giants, sometime these giants are big as mountain.

these mountain is sometime buildup by our Fear, Pride and Ego.

Fear of being Rejected by Family and Community,

John 9:22 “(His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews, for the Jews had already decided that if anyone should confess him to be Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.”

and sometime it is our Pride to let go of self respect.

Romans 1:21–22 “For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasoning, and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools,”

sometime it is build up by our Ego.

John 12:43 (NIV): "For they loved human praise more than praise from God."

God wants us to get rid of these mountains. Verse

2 Corinthians 12:9: "But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

And when the hammer of God hits you it will hurt you.

the hurt of rejection by family, community,

it will hurt when your pride and ego breaks

but remember God is shaping you into his likeness

Isaiah 64:8 (NIV): "Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."

And this likeness will set you apart from rest of the world

John 15:18-19 (NIV): "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

this likness will make you eligible for his kingdom. it will give you the citizenship of most wonderful kingdom/country.

Philippians 3:20 (NIV): "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ."

when God finish hammering the mountain in you. these new person is free from Fear, Ego and Pride,

few years back i met a guy Name David he was from Bangali tribe he got thise name in Christ, as i set with him to listen his testimony.

In Assam along with his friend a few young people decided to attack a church on christmas night, as they entered the church the songs were playing and everyone looked at them happily and welcome them, unable to attack but something happened, God spoke in his heart. few day later he went back to the pastor and later he received Jesus willingly in his life as saviour.

now he was thrown away from his family for being christian but ne lives in nagaland with entire christian community as his family. now the only think he grive is his family are still in darkness.

Ephesians 2:19 (NIV): "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household."

When we look at Luke 19 we see here a guy name Zaccheus The tax collector.

he wanted to see Jesus but due to his short hight he was unable to see him from the crowd so climbed the tree and when Jesus reached the point where he was Jesus ask him to come down and immediately he came down.

but not Only Zaccheus came down he left something on that tree once and for all.

can you guess what he Left?

his fear pride and Ego.

What fear he could have had?

the Fear of Rejection by the God so Holy

What Pride he could have?

The pride of Richness. as he declared to let go of his half possession

What Ego could he have?

Ego of Designation.

when we read V8 we see him Repenting and willing to let go of that mountain.

Many of us are still hiding behind our fear to accept Jesus as our saviour.
