Who do you look like?

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, vfor that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

1. There are many traits that are passed down through a bloodline.

How many of you have ever heard this statement? She looks just like her mother; or he looks just like his father.

Of course that could go the other way to. She looks just like her father; or he looks just like his mother.

This is because when it comes to genes and the traits that children have it is something that is actually passed on.

Now don’t mistake what I am saying. Everyone is their own unique person. There is only one of you. And there is no other. But looks, hair color, eye color, tall, short, skinny, big boned as we call it are things that are often passed on. And it is passed on through the bloodline.

The fact is that, we inherit our parents likeness. In many if not most cases we inherit the likeness or the image of one parent above another.

Again what’s true in the natural is also true in the spiritual.

2. All of humanity was born in the likeness of their parent Adam.

Adam is the first of God’s creation. Avoid foolish questions and babble.

The fall and the passing on of the sin nature.

What have we inherited from fallen Adam?

i. Sin Nature

there is none good but one, that is, God.

You can say they are nice people, you can say they are caring or helpful people, but stop saying they are good people.

Jesus never came and died to save good people. He came and died to save sinners. Amazing Grace!

When you see. All of this was passed on through the bloodline.

The wages of sin is death!

The fact is that when we are born into this world we are born into it just like our fallen father Adam.

I thank God that in the scripture while I see the natural bloodline I also see another bloodline.

There is a bloodline that is drawn right through this Book and it all points to one Person and His name is Jesus!

3. Through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior any person who is willing to receive so great a salvation can now inherit the traits and the image of their Father who is in heaven.

What do you mean their Father the Bible tells us we become like Christ!

Well isnt Jesus the express image of His Person!

Conformed to His image.

SECOND ADAM> BLOODLINE GOT TAINTED AND INSTEAD OF GOD’s IMAGE WE SEE ADAM’S IMAGE. LIKE OR FATHER.

i. Where we inherited a sin nature from Adam we are given a holy nature from God!

Through the bloodline all of a sudden we become like Him!

When God created Eve He created her out of Adams side to be Hhis bride.

When God created the church it was through the blood that flowed from the very body of Jesus as He gave His life as a ransom for many.

I wants people to say He looks just like His Father. Not my great great great great anbd on and on grandfather Adam. But my father who is in heaven!
