Introduction: Lat night, friends, we considered that just as the enemy/the devil/Satan lied to Jesus about what he could give, so the enemy lies to us today. Tonight, we’re going to talk about an important truth about what Jesus gives.

See if you can finish the line; “‘Cause they don’t know the … that Jesus gives.”

“[Life],” yes, that’s right -great listening.

You might be thinking, “But, Ranger Pastor Bill, I’m already alive; what do I need another life for?”

Friends, Jesus offers to us another kind of life.

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Friends, Jesus is telling us something very important about the difference between what He offers and what the enemy offers.

The enemy tempts us into thinking that he’s giving us what we want but it only leads to death.

He tries to play on our sinful desires.

According to the Bible, when we sin, we deserve God’s punishment, death.

Jesus, though, offers life in the Lord.

This means that God’s Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you.

When the Spirit lives in you, He teaches you and empower you to live to please the Lord, according to God’s Word.

Conclusion: Friends real life is found in Jesus through God’s Spirit Who helps us to fight our desires to think, say, or do things that don’t please the Lord and to live to please the Lord.
