As I was sitting here trying to decide exactly what I thought would make for a good study today I remembered what I had been thinking about the previous morning when reading up on a news app. Between the division of politics and the mass amount of hatred that is being displayed throughout our country here in America and even the world in many places I thought it would be good today if we just simply read through a bunch of passages that remind us that God loves us, wants us to be with him forever and has done everything possible to make that a reality for us. All we have to do is love him back. So let’s read some passages from God’s precious word today.
God loves us because we are his children, hence he is our Father.
Hosea 11:1–4 (NKJV)
1 “When Israel was a child, I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son. 2 As they called them, So they went from them; They sacrificed to the Baals, And burned incense to carved images. 3 “I taught Ephraim to walk, Taking them by their arms; But they did not know that I healed them. 4 I drew them with gentle cords, With bands of love, And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them.
13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
God loves us so much he wants everyone to live with him for an eternity.
22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
God loves us so much that he has done everything possible for us to spend an eternity with him in heaven.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The only thing God asks of us in return is for us to love him back.
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
