According to our song, what can we trust the Lord in? - everything we do

Is there any part of your life that falls outside of God’s control? - No!

Finish the verse from last night, “In God I have put my …” - trust

Introduction: Friends, last night we considered that we can trust the Lord in all things because He leads and controls our life.

Friends, finish this line, “In all your ways let His truth be … you.” (“guiding,” that’s right!)

Friends, this sounds exactly like one of my favorite passages in all of Scripture.

Proverbs 3:5–6 “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”

Friends, we’re going to be tempted to think that we need to rely on our own understanding, or our own way of thinking to direct us.

But, friends, our way of thinking will fail us.

We have minds influenced by sin that will incline us to do what’s wrong, naturally.

We also don’t know all things.

Yet, the Lord Who is perfect and does know all things offers to us to seek Him in His Word to direct our lives.

We should want to do this because we want to please Him.

You will want to please Him if the Lord Jesus Christ is your Savior from your sins.

Conclusion: Friends, God’s way that He outlines in His Word is best. Seek Him now and always and not your own way.
