Work is cursed and frustrating because of sin. Work is therefore destined to be painful and ultimately futile - any attempt to ‘gain’ from our toil will be thrwarted. It’s a problem that can’t be solved - but instead of despairing, we can live in the tension by finding some joy in the midst of the struggles.
