Notes

So far the word of God came for Babylon, Assyria, and Philistia. Tonight we see that it came for Moab as well. But we must remember that although this is a word from God against Moab, it is a word from God for his people in Judah.
v. 1 - Surely in a night
v. 5 - Surely on the road to Horonaim
v. 6 - Surely the grass is withered
v. 9 - Surely I will bring added woes

15:1–16:14 The demise of Moab taught Israel not to depend on that nation any more than others, but to depend on the Lord.

15:1-9 - Moab suddenly attacked
16:1-5 - Moab begs Judah for asylum
16:6-12 - Moab is doomed by pride
16:13-14 - Moab will receive a more immediate sign of its ultimate end
