Home Dedication Program Outline with Bible Verses

1. Opening Prayer and Welcome Begin with prayer, inviting God’s presence. Verse: Psalm 121:8 (NIV) - "The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
2. Scripture Reading and Reflection Read Scriptures that emphasize God’s role in building and blessing homes. Verses: Psalm 127:1-2 (NIV) - "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves." Joshua 24:15b (NIV) - "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
3. Blessing of the Home Pray for God’s blessing and presence in the home. Verse: Psalm 91:9-11 (NIV) - "If you say, 'The Lord is my refuge,' and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
4. Prayers for the Family Offer prayers for each member of the family’s spiritual growth and well-being. Verse: Ephesians 3:16-17a (NIV) - "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith."
5. Commitment and Dedication Invite the family to commit themselves to serving God in their home.
Verse: Colossians 3:16-17 (NIV) - "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
6. Closing Prayer and Blessing Close with a final prayer and blessing over the family and home. Verse: Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV) - "'The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.'"
7. Fellowship and Celebration Share a time of fellowship and celebration, if desired. Verse: Psalm 133:1 (NIV) - "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"
8. Follow-Up Commit to follow up with the family to support them in their spiritual journey. Verse: Galatians 6:2 (NIV) - "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." By integrating these Bible verses into each part of the dedication program, you provide a solid biblical foundation and encouragement for the family as they dedicate their home to God's glory and service.
