VBS DAY 3 “EVERYONE NEEDS JESUS”

GOD PROVIDED. God sent Jesus, the perfect solution to our sin problem, to rescue us from the punishment we deserve. It’s something we, as sinners, could never earn on our own. Jesus alone saves us.
John 3:16 For God So Loved the World
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
BIBLE STORY
Mark 10:17-27 The Rich Young Ruler
And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’ ”
And the rich young man said to him, “Teacher, all these things I have done since I was a youth.”
Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you own and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
Disheartened by what Jesus had said, the rich young man went away sorrowful, because he had many great possessions.
Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”
The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
They were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, “Then who can be saved?”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
Romans 3:23-24
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
