What do I believe God wants us to do? Follow and trust the good shepherd
Why? It brings hope and life
Today we are going to dive into God’s Word in one of the most famous if not most famous chapters in all of scripture Psalm 23. pausing along the way for reflection
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The Lord is MY shepherd
My shepherd says I shall not lack
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6 says look at the birds of the air
OH, What comfort this brings!
HE IS OUR PROVIDER
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
THIS STRUCK ME WHEN I FIRST IN THE SECOND YEAR OF MINISTRY
HE GIVES US REST, SABBATH
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
GIVES US STILL WATERS
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
HE RESTORES
How beautiful it is when we come to Jesus and He restores us
HE GUIDES IN DOWN THE RIGHT PATH
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
GOD PROTECTS US
DAVID KNEW THIS SO WELL
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
