Introduction:

vv. 45–48) Jesus knows about our storms:

Jesus has never been indecisive about the directions for your life.
You can find hope in the darkest moments knowing Jesus is interceding for you.
Jesus is fully aware of your current struggles.

vv. 48–52) Jesus joins us in our storms:

There is no storm so big it intimidates Jesus from entering into it with you.
I’m fully aware of what I am not, however I am more confident in…the great I AM.
If your heart is hardened to the identity of Jesus, your soul will never comprehend the activity of Jesus.

vv. 53–56) Jesus can even use our storms:

Do not overlook the fact Jesus will use storms to change our course of direction.
Entitled people easily miss the work of Jesus, but needy people know Him when they see Him.
Jesus was able to use difficult circumstances in the lives of the disciples to minister to lives of others.
