I've had some problems some great and some small You being God delivered me from them all Still can't believe all the ways you've made An incredible God deserves incredible praise
It is clear to me that God is all that I need. As the psalmist express The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Ps 28:7).
After 61 years of living i have learned to depend on an Incredible God. One who has shown himself mighty, reliable and dependable.
When you look at this Psalm you will see a threaded theme with Psalm 26 and 27. A Incredible and Dependable God who Deserves Consistent Incredible praise!
He Supplies all our needs
Many times we are facing situations that we need the Lord. Though this entire psalm shows a person who is seeking the Lord and earnestly wants his help. Its verse 7 that expresses the true confidence that the Lord is all you need. The Lord is my strength and shield. We must see the Lord as our strength
Strength is the inner resolve or the physical ability to accomplish an endeavor, influence an outcome, or prevail in a conflict.
God is our main source of strength. As his people we are strengthen by him being in us. When we are weak he makes us strong.
God wants us to be courageous because he allows us to do all things through HIm.
When we recognize that we have the strength of the Lord. God wants us to have strength t in the midst of challenging times. He is also our shield. Protective armor and the soldier or servant who carried the shield and weapons of a warrior.
3  But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Ps 3:3).
Supplying your needs is what God does. David said The Lord is my shepherd i shall not want.
Secondly I learned to Trust in Him
The psalmist said I him I trust an I am helped. Similar to Psalm 121 I look to the hills which comes my help for all my help comes from the Lord.
Trusting in the Lord is Reliance on and confidence in a Him. Scripture affirms the total trustworthiness of God, especially in relation to his promises to his people. Christian faith is, essentially, trust in the person and character of God. Since we know he is trustworthy we can trust in Him. The hymn writer said “I will trust in the Lord until I die.
We build trust in God by reflecting on how he come through for us in the past. Trust says I will wait on the Lord. 5  Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long . (Ps 25:5). (2016).
Finally I learned to praise Him
Then praise is easy. Look what the Psalmist said, my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him. (Ps 28:7).
His trust leads to
Psalmist said,
30  I will praise the name of God with a song;
I will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31  This will please the LORD more than an ox
or a bull with horns and hoofs.
32  When the humble see it they will be glad;
you who seek God, let your hearts revive. (Ps 69:30–32).
Everything God made owes him praise! If have realized it yet today is your moment of truth!
I love the first outline in this morning’s Sunday School lesson. A resolve to praise Him.. 14  But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. 15  My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, (Ps 71:14–15).
Praise should come natural to us! We have so much to be thankful for!
