The Reason for God’s Anger

Let’ study the pivotal prophecy in Amos 7. It is extremely important that we understand the context of verses 1-6.

Amos 7:1–6 NIV

This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the late crops were coming up. When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!” So the Lord relented. “This will not happen,” the Lord said. This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: The Sovereign Lord was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land. Then I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!” So the Lord relented. “This will not happen either,” the Sovereign Lord said.

I believe verses 1-6 of Amos 7 reveal something spectacular about God’s thinking at this very moment. They surely show how eager our God of Love is to get this end-time horror over with!

We are right on the outer edge of the storm that will ultimately usher in the Second Coming of Christ. God is intently excited for that time of happiness and unparalleled joy that is about to saturate this earth!

In verses 1-3, God showed Amos a vision of violent destruction - a horde of locusts about to ravage the land. But Amos spoke up, and God changed His mind. That is astounding!

Then it happened a second time:”Thus hath the Lord God shewed it unto me: and behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part” This is a prophetic version of a devouring nuclear fire!

These verses are tied directly to verses 7 - 17.

This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. And the Lord asked me, “What do you see, Amos?” “A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said, “Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer. “The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.” Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: “Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words. For this is what Amos is saying: “ ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’ ” Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.” Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Now then, hear the word of the Lord. You say, “ ‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’ “Therefore this is what the Lord says: “ ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’ ”

All these verses lead us into the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord, which are concluded by the Second Coming of Jesus Christ! So, this is all happening in the end of the “last hour” of the end time. Christ even said when He was on Earth that we should know when these events are “at the door” Matthew 24:33

In Amos7, God is ferociously angry and ready to send the end-time nations of Israel into World War III. God is about to allow us to experience the consequences of their terrible sins and to be destroyed, enslaved, and slaughtered!

Just look at how our nation has treated our Creator over the past several decades:

We have aborted (murdered) millions of babies

We kicked prayer out of our schools

We took the crosses and plaques of the ten commandments out of our public spaces

We embraced and even legalized homosexual marriages, something that the Bible clearly calls an abomination to God

We celebrate LGBTQ+ lifestyles and agendas.

We allow and even promote our small children to attend drag queen story hour in our schools and libraries

We allowed the LGBTQ+ movement to takeover the rainbow as their symbol. The very rainbow symbol that God said would be a sign between Him and mankind as a promise that He would never destroy the world again by flooding, after Noah and his family were saved. from the flood.

We allow men to compete in women’s sports and to use women’s locker rooms

We allowed a humanitarian crisis by keeping our southern border totally open to intruders, so they can be taken advantage of by the coyotes and cartels that rape, rob, extort, and kill innocent victims.

We have allowed radical Islamic Iran to obtain the nuclear weapons with which they promise to wipe Israel off the map. The very place where the Bible says that Christ will return to at His second coming and establish His headquarters of the Kingdom of God on Earth.

The disaster spoken of in Amos 7: 1-2 about the locusts is the first presidential term of Barack Obama. The disaster spoken of in Verse 4 about the nuclear fire describes the second term of Obama’s presidency. And now you can add to that his third term in which he is the puppet master of the Biden regime. This terribly upsets God! Obama has too much power, and God is going to have to do something. God has already started to act. He will not let the name of Israel be blotted out.

There are three visions here, starting in verses 1, 4, and 7 of Amos 7, which all describe God “showing” Amos something. The two visions in verses 1- 6 flow right into the visions in verses 7-17.

But just before verse 7, we could insert 2 Kings 14:26-28

The Lord had seen how bitterly everyone in Israel, whether slave or free, was suffering; there was no one to help them. And since the Lord had not said he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash. As for the other events of Jeroboam’s reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

That now gives us the entire context.

God has already used President Trump,an end time Jeraboam, once to save this nation from what Antiochus was doing. Now Obama, an end time Antiochis, through Joe Biden, has returned with a vengeance. But the rest of this prophecy in Amos 7 shows us that will not last.

When Amos saw those first two visions, he pleaded with God for mercy. Verses 2 and 3 in the Moffatt translation read,”As they devoured all the green growth, I cried, “Have mercy, Lord, have mercy! How can Jacob recover? - he is so little.” And God changed His mind: ”Then the Eternal did relent, the Eternal said, “This shall not be”. The same thing appears in verse 6: “The Eternal said , “This shall not be”.

But verse 8 is a different story: “The Eternal said to me,” Amos,what do you see?” “A plumb line, I replied. The Eternal said, With a plumb-line I test my people; never again will I pardon them.” (Moffatt) This is God talking! he essentially tells Amos , “Don’t talk to me about this again!” - referring back to verses 3 and 6. This message today, prophesied in the book of Amos, is God’s last warning. He has warned the Americans and other descendants of ancient Israel several times to try to wake them up, but they have ignored those warnings. So, He says , “I’ll warn them one last time!”

This is prophesying of the time just ahead of us. This will be the last time God passes by, so He is clearing the way for His Church to finalize this last warning. When America falls, a horrific chain reaction will unfold. God knew this and showed this terrifying future to Amos. He heard Amos’s plea for mercy - twice. This flows right into verses 7-10; it is part of the same vision. God shows Amos a plumb-line and says that He will measure one more time and give one last warning. After that He would never give them another warning, and He told Amos not to even ask Him again to change His mind.

We are in the last time God will pass by the people of Israel before they are destroyed! This is a time of extreme urgency!

Notice: This is in the context of an end time Jeraboam (verse 9). It is during this time of Jeraboam that God says, “I will not again pass by them any more” (verse 8). God passes by for the last time to show three end time nations of Israel - the United State, Britain, and the Jewish nation - how to solve their problems and to warn them of the consequence of their failure to do so.

This prophecy means that President Donald Trump will soon recover his presidency. A stolen election, and a presidency will be recovered. We will see Mr. Trump back in power soon. That will be positive, for a little while . Things will quickly improve is some ways - but only briefly; the curses will remain.

When that happens, Americans will be down to their last time to repent.

Amos 7 prophesies about end-time Israel, which is today, most prominently, the United States superpower. It is clearly about the very end of the nation. It shows that at that time, Jeraboam is not only in power, but he is wielding kingly authority. These verses describe the prophet Amos’s message from God to King Jeraboam. They also describe God’s message today, which we will soon be sent to the modern Jeraboam!

If you read through this prophecy, ther appears to be no break in Jeraboam’s reign. It doesn’t describe his presidency being lost and them somehow being restored. Why is that?

Because in God’s view, Donald Trump never lost the presidency! By keeping the flow about Jeraboam going in this prophecy, it seems that God is showing us that the election of 2020 was stolen! He looks on Mr. Trump as still being the rightful president of the United States!

Democrats spent all four years of President Trump’s tenure trying to bring him down, and in the elction, they finally succeeded. Politicians and the media did their best to cover it up, but God saw it all. He is the only one who knows precisely what happened. Many millions of Americans believe, as I do, that the election was stolen. That view has far more weight if that’s the way God Himself sees it!
