What is an ordinance?
Pinson provides four criteria for a specific practice to be an ordinance.
It must be an outward ritual
It must be ordained by Christ
It must be able to be perpetuated by God’s people
It must be pictorially symbolic.
Matthew 28:19–20 ESV
