5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psalms 23 is probably the most recognizable passage in all scripture.
The beauty of the passage has provided comfort to all who have read it for generations…
Verse 5 is special.
We read and and think it’s talking about provision.
More specifically that table is the war council of the enemy.
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Daniel 7:25 (KJV 1900)
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of tim
So let’s just take a little trip tonight into the inner war room of hell and see what the enemy is planning and how he is at work in our lives.
You have to be in denial to believe that evil is not at work.
Dissatisfaction - Satan is working to make everyone unhappy and dissatisfied.
Offense - everyone is offended at something.
Disloyalty -
Unrest -
Distraction - we have become like a bunch of bulls pursuing the red cloth not ever realizing that the cloth is not the problem but the guy in a fancy suit throwing spears into us is!
Life can be nothing but distractions!
If you are to busy to pray you are distracted!
If you are to busy to read the Word, you are distracted!
If you are to busy to get good rest, you are distracted!
Worry is distraction.
I’m convienced that the majority of us need to reprioritize your life!
Disunity - SELF WORSHIP - selfishness has become the accepted way of life - just do what is best for you!
Politics - never have seen such chaos in my life
Race - never been so racially divided in our nation.
Philosophy - used to be that God simply delivered sinners and healed their bodies. Now he has to set their minds free and then change their thinking because people have been programed that evil is good and good evil.
All chaos in the world can be sifted through these three primary ways of attack: Dissatisfaction, Distraction, and Disunity.
As born again saints in the army of the Lord, you MUST filter every thought and action through this understanding.
But, if we know the enemies battle plan, we have the response written in the pages of God’s Word.
The chaos should not surprise us!
Time is short! The enemy is unleashing his greatest tools against the church.
BUT why is that a surprise?
Ephesians 4:4–6 (KJV 1900)
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Hebrews 6:18–19 (KJV 1900)
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
My hope is anchored in the knowledge that I have a refuge!
There is hope in a hopeless world!
1 Corinthians 15:19 (KJV 1900)
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Colossians 1:27 (KJV 1900)
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
One hope is found in One Church!
Two words for church
Ekklesia: gathering - any citizen, race it did not matter had a right to be apart of the ekklesia.
Kaleō: those that responded to the call
Many are called (gather)
Few are chosen (obey)
The one church has One message - One God who died for everyone!
And because the ONE church preached the ONE message of ONE God who died for all, there is HOPE in a Hopeless world!
CONCLUSION:
Don’t worry about the chaos!!!
You know the plan of the enemy!
Live in hope!
