Worship: Rap 2

that's funny. But we've been talking a lot about worship. This will complete this if I get through this is completes our series on Workshop. So yeah, we talked about worship wrapping some of the questions that we ask beginning of this series. We asked why we created what is worship. Why worship what is worship for and how do we worship? We're going to dive into the final question of how we worship the let's have a recap. We learned that worship transforms your heart but praise changes the atmosphere. We learned that that worship is for your heart. What happens when you wash up your heart pours. I love the gods. What happens when you praise I don't know about you, but you ever get excited. If you ever seen the excitement transfer to other people, you might not even know you might not even like the thing the person is excited about never happen to someone. They do my son. So excited about dinosaurs, you know, like T-Rex and Triceratops and all that stuff and he's telling me that the T-Rex sound like okay cool to next thing. You know, we're watching Jurassic Park.

And I'm just equally excited now to watch the someone get chased by a Philosoraptor. You do your heart start stopping it's because my son's excited about dinosaurs. What happens when we get excited about God praise comes out of us and it begins to move the people around us. Frankie just came back up. You do miss it bad that were there you had it was Lisa. It was phenomenal. I just want to tell you that. You missed it and let that be a lesson to you. Sometimes God gives you some you may not see the end result of it, but it's your job to just believe God gave it and it's your job to release it regardless if you see the evidence of it, it was so good, dude.

So cute. But praise changes our atmosphere. We also learned that worships not about our freedom a lot of times. We want to worship God so we can get free from stuff. God has set us free. So I'm set free from my anxiety free from my pain. So I'm set free from a situation. I'm going through worships. Not the set you free.

I know many times were like if you just begin to worship you'll feel better, but it's not for that.

Where's it's about you pouring out love to God. Let me say it like this how many you guys enjoy and countering God? But I really enjoy encountering God or God and counters you.

Verses when you give God his encounter with you. I mean if you can just think that way I'm telling you would change the way you were so cuz you'll realize it's not about you. It's not about how you feel. It's not even about getting words or or anything. It's about God encounter in your love. To himself and it changes of all nobody that excites me mad. Could you imagine waking up in the morning saying today? God give me calendars by me.

I know it seems crazy. But I was I want you to realize that's what happens. And when you have that process and thought of God's encountering me, he has no problem with encountering you. Cuz you know, you'll never make it about what you feel. You'll make it about him and keep it at the right keep it on the right thing. Your affections are towards him. And when that happens, I'm telling you get ready for prisons to shake.

Speaking of Prisons. That's what we left off at, isn't it? Last week we were talking about Paul and Silas, right? How did Paul and Silas even get into that situation in the first place whose fault was it?

We always need to have somebody to do. It's God's fault. Whose father is God song God Gave Me a vision and dream. He goes over to Macedonia. He meets a woman who's possessed with a spirit he calls that Spirit out of work if you got kicked off and then end up in prison.

And we learned that when he's in prison that they begin to worship now, they just weren't in prison, but they were enter in the inner prison in a hole with a torture device on them. And these men begin to worship. I don't know about you guys. Would you worship when you're stuck in a pit?

This Be Real honestly, he's like no, I wouldn't I be kind of like ticked-off. I'm in the pick Rusty if it's not my fault.

It's always good to leave a place that you're not supposed to be at.

Go there and start singing. They start worshiping God. It's like midnight and if you have your bottles acts 16 verse 25, and we're going to go through it a little more. This is it's now about midnight Paul and Silas while they were praying were also singing praises to God mingling petition with songs of praise and the prisoners were listening to them enjoying their singing. And Southern suddenly there was an earthquake a great one so that the foundations of the prison were cost at otter and all the doors were instantly open and the bonds of all were loosened. And all the doors were absolutely open the bombs were loosened in the jail or haven't been roused out of a sleep. Have you seen the doors in the prison open having drawn out his sword was about to be killing himself supposing that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul Sheldon the loud voice.

Do worshiping the prison doors open and the person who's in charge of keeping all the prisoners. It's getting ready to commit suicide. If that's you and your in the prison, you're in the whole all of a sudden you were worshipping the torture device falls off you your prison door opens. How many you guys have you thinking about speaking out the same someone else or would you be focused on getting out of that prison cell?

But to be honest you can focus on getting out of there like not we're done. Delivered us. Let's go.

I don't know why you are probably would have been moving like Speedy on Gonzales. Some of you guys know who that is. I need I need a hundred a hundred a man out of you taking off. But just be honest these guys didn't do that. Do not begin to do yourself one bit of harm for we are all here. Stop. No. I know Paul and Silas are Christians the why are the other prisoners still in their cell?

Can't believe it. Come on. Just think about this when we are still in there sell. Some of those guys should have been there. Right? Let's just agree. Some of those guys should have been in that prison Paul and Silas didn't deserve to be there, but everyone stayed put

What was going on before that says Paul and Silas were they were singing. Did you notice the scripture done? Say everyone in the prison was making noise and says they were listening. To what they were singing about. And then all of a sudden God showed up. I believe they couldn't couldn't believe that the doors open. Let alone their doors being opened with the with the Bible goes on and said that all of their chains fell off. So that's crazy.

That's a crazy story.

Been having to ask for a life. He's bringing haven't become terrified fell down before Paul and Silas and having brought them outside fitzers. What is it necessary in the nature of the case for me to keep on doing in order that I may be saved. The Greek is really Worthy.

That's the actual literal translation from Greek. To break it down. He says what do I have to do to get saved? I'm seeing some crazy stuff that I never seen before. I work this prison many years never saw anything like this. What do I have to do to be safe? And it says this and they said put your trust at once and once for all the Lord Jesus and ask for yourself, you shall be saved also your household.

He's concerned about the person who was in charge of keeping them in the cell where they were I don't know why you put a lot of times if we go through a hard thing where the last person we're concerned about is the person that caused this to go through the heart thing.

Like you tell that to someone who's been abused her broken stolen from Rod lied on cheated on you to do that to someone who went through something like that because that person called them the pain that they're going through.

You want to pick sides and label villain and victim and then keep people empowered in that place because what's going on is we're not concerned about the kingdom when we're concerned about.

Who give you a true story of my life? So you understand? My older sister, she's not here my mom's here, but that's it. She was in the abusive relationship with this guy. He ended up strangling her one day.

Somehow she's screaming he he did they I think they called the cops or something of that nature and he is of jumping down from that think it was like a three-story balcony in the shattering his hips.

But their concern was of the Kingdom so they focused on love.

Right, come on, and that's that's what they wanted was freedom for him in the spirit, which is more important. Been there been in the physical. Come on.

The end result was they became free and so did others. Absolutely. Yeah.

Their focus was the kingdom. Their focus was the kingdom. Let me says their focus was the kingdom they were so focused on God's kingdom and flowing through love that they weren't even focus on their own freedom in the prison cell.

I don't know if it was God's purpose but I say he uses all things for the good for those who love them called according to his purpose.

Come on, even though They were being come on. They were being abused. They got beat guys. They got locked up their heart perspective. His Focus was God and his kingdom. There were more focused on love God's love for them. God's love for others and seeing that love spread. So they started to sing in prison. I mean, that's the last thing you would think some prisoners with you back in Rome. And it wasn't nice prisons like they got today. I never been with the once. I don't know how nice they are.

What do they were focused on worshipping God and knowing who he is revealing the father and someone that went to jail or came? He asked what do I have to do to be saved? They told him but they went through his whole house. Going to give you a promise right now. Some of you guys are believing for certain ones of your family members to be safe. But are you going after the whole house?

Are you just going out to where I wish my sibling was born again? Are you saying I'm wishing my whole family gets born again. And I don't mean wish I didn't mean like literally God. Thank you for saving my whole family.

Yeah, you going to have faith to ask for that split me say this you guys even have more faith to believe for it. You got to believe that God's going to do that. What's your scripture that we've been studying lately before most Summers? I shared it, but I skipped it today.

If God did not withhold his only begotten son from us. He will not withhold one good thing. Is it good for your family to get born again? Yes or no? Do you think God wants to save them? Do you believe God will save them? Do you actually pray that way? You gotta understand when you believe you said Thank you afterwards. Let me share a story with you guys.

I was in the I was here with my wife. We are doing some work for working typing stuff out and I got a phone call. This guy is like could you come and pray for me? I'm like I'm a little bit. I'm being real. I'm a little busy but I let me see I talked to my wife said I got can I go to to go pray for him? She's like go ahead and so we we wrapped up what we're doing, but I'm still in the middle of it and I went to a coffee shop.

The guy's jaw was dislocated.

Yeah, he went to his doctor his doctor told him. He had to go see a surgeon and get surgery because his jaw was completely out of sync and the only way to fix it with surgery. He has a doctor's slip in a doctor's report. And I'm eating matter coffee and you tell the doctor before I go to see the surgeon. I want to call this pastor. I know. So I'm like, so I didn't know it was going on. I just got to call. Could you please meet me my job fine? I'll meet you there in the middle of doing something. At the coffee shop, and they said I told him listen man. This is a place of contact. I said this is a place of contact. I'm going to pray for you. Jesus is going to heal you but your job after the moment, I praise to thank him for what you got.

Pray for his jaw. He fashioned Ellis. Thank God. Thank you God for killing then he goes home.

He breaks out in a cold sweat.

Tell me when sitting on my couch and I break out in a cold sweat and he says that. This just happened this week. My he said I broke out in a cold sweat. I went to sleep. I woke up the next morning and I eat a McGriddle.

Otis better Nas cuz then he goes back to the doctor. He goes that day he go see his doctor the doctor examines his job everything freaking out because it's completely made.

The nurse did it gets really awesome. The nurse the nurses you were in his office are freaking out asking and what religion are you? Because they said we haven't seen that you were just here yesterday needing surgery and now your jaws fixed.

He told the doctor that he was he was sitting on his couch and went to a hot sweats and he didn't feel anything. The doctor told him said you should have been in extreme pain. Someone to surgically do that to your job. How did you should have been in pain your body started to sweat cuz he knew what was happening, but you didn't have any pain from the surgery. Just did with you.

not told the dude, this is exciting because this is where it's getting exciting for me at I told the guy I like men tell me what Jesus heals you. I'm excited about this is amazing. But the dude is sitting there preaching to the whole doctor's office now. I'm cracking up just one more. Do I want with the kingdom of God to spread and now he's preaching to the doctor's office and the nurses and the practitioners that Jesus did a miracle and they got.

I'm excited to see where this story goes then.

But I told him I want you to focus on that Jesus heals you and you tell everyone that you meet Jesus healed you.

It's exciting. I wonder one day you might be here to share it crazy story.

But he could have kept that to himself. You know that. You could have said I'm finally free. I have to eat my McGriddle again. Cuz Duty couldn't eat for a while. Like he was sitting there just one side working other side not working.

What is that? You went back to the doctor? I said go to the doctors and maybe let them see what God did for you.

Excited so then like do my had a very eventful week that I heard this kid was at the gym 17 years old. He had he caught a heart disease through a virus. The doctors told him he can't work out anymore can't do anything physical anymore. And I didn't you was at the gym. I actually talked to his friend of his at the gym. And I said, will you give him my number? So you decide to meet with me yesterday he met with me.

I'm super excited. I'm being contained right now. Just so you guys know. He went back to the doctor. The doctor said that everything that you're still sick there still stuff going on with your heart. He has reports. And he met with me in a coffee shop and we should do this at the point of contact put my hand on him. I said Thank You Jesus and I explained as Jesus is just me pray, but it's Jesus healing and I prayed and all of a sudden he looks at me I said so hey what's going on? He starts freaking out because you said I'm just going to be honest. I didn't expect nothing to happen. He said but this energies around my heart. He said I'm having an out-of-body experience right now. But I don't understand what's going on. But I feel like my heart's becoming whole again. He's like, I feel this energy. It's like you think it's really weird that I'm able to feel what's going on with my heart.

He goes back to the doctor in 2 weeks from now.

Sagat starting to get reports in from doctors verifying what we need to beat you already mad. That he's alive and he heals people.

I got to chat with him some more man. And guess what happened found are you I'm born again.

Guess what to do dead in the coffee shop gave his life to Jesus. amazing

David's light to Jesus right? Then. He said that energy that I felt around my heart is now shooting through my whole body. He's like, I feel like a dude. I didn't even give him Christian language. She said I feel like a weight. I was had all this weight on my shoulder and it came right off.

I'm excited to see what I read the story of Paul and Silas in prison. They're not focus on what they're going through there more should surge about the person the people around them. What is the what do they do next or the scripture goes on and says that?

They spoke the word of God together with all those in his home and having taken them in the same hour under his care. He bathed in their stripes washing away the calculated by Maisy and he himself was immediately immersed and all those who belong to him and having brought them up into his home. He put that he put them at his table and said food before them and he rejoiced how do you believe in god with his whole household?

Their imprisonment was actually for the Salvation of a whole family.

Sometimes you may not like what you're going through where life has taken you but God can use it and turn it around to save a whole entire family guys. Pikachu transform but it takes your heart being willing to say God. You know what Papa? I really just am going to get focused on you. I thank you no matter what comes because whatever comes my way. It's an opportunity to let your love flow out.

Doesn't matter people like me that's an opportunity for me to grow in love and pour that out on the and I'm a stay at 2 to you and worship not because I'm trying to worship to get out of somewhere because I see that I'm already somewhere that's in you. And we can get to worship God out of that place. And when you do that's when prison doors open. Because you're not focus on them opening. Show me times for focus on Prison doors open in our lives getting better. God bless me. Listen if you got a mindset that. I'm good. As long as God blesses me, then. That's the wrong mindset.

God's not against blessing you actually wants to bless you love can't help but bless you. It's like an automatic respond, like if someone sneezes.

What are you guys I didn't refuse I just was just fake sneeze. Love's automatic response is bless you. So he wants to but he doesn't want that to be your heart Focus. He wants you have a Heart of Worship that says God. I love you because of who you are and when you do that things shift around you First she wants to see if your heart. Because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, so whatever you're saying is coming from your heart. So he wants to know that he has your heart.

So, how do we work shop? What are ways that we worship you guys know, how do we actually worship God?
