Sacrifice
TEXT: Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Exodus 25:1–9 (NIV)
The Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give. These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood; olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
Great is your love reaching to the heaven.
Our faith is sacrificial. Jesus set the example. Where there’s sacrifice, there’s release of power. Theres glorification at the end of sacrifices.
We’re bringing our heart to the Lord, our mind, our body.
Worshiping God is a decision we make.
For true joy and happiness, the price must be paid upfront before enjoying, if you do not pay the price now, you will pay later after you have enjoyed. We have to go through pain and suffering
Romans 8:18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Ephesians 6:18 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
1 Samuel 7:10 “While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.”
