“My convictions concerning the local church” (I’m convinced that the local church is:)
1. The primary place for salvation—v. 41
2. The principle place for service—v. 43
3. The perfect place for saints—v. 42–47
“THE LOCAL CHURCH” (Notice)
I. ITS PURPOSE (I believe that the purpose of the local church is:)
1. The proclamation of the gospel to sinners—Mark 16:15 (By)
a. The messenger of the church. 1 Corinthians 9:16
b. The membership of the church. Acts 8:1–4
2. The provoking of the Godly to Spirituality—Hebrews 10:24–25 (The local church should be a place where:)
a. The pastor will challenge us to grow—1 Corinthians 14:20
b. The preaching will cause us to grow—1 John 2:14
II. ITS PLACE (The local church should have a place in the life of every believer and that place should be:)
1. A special place—Acts 4:23–31 (The local church should have a special place in our life because of:)
a. Its founder—Acts 2:41
b. Its fellowship—Acts 2:42
2. A spiritual place (Notice that)
a. Attending its worship should be a part of our spiritual life—Luke 24:52–53
b. Assisting its work should be a part of our spiritual life—1 Corinthians 16:1–2
III. ITS PEOPLE (The people of the local church are:)
1. Diverse in their character—1 Corinthians 12:14–28 (This difference necessitates:)

2. Distinct in their calling—Romans 12:3–8 (Because of this distinction in our calling, believers should never:)
