Corruption and Catastrophe
Corruption and Catastrophe
Title: "The Great Cleanup!"
Introduction:
Hey kids! Have you ever had a messy room?
What happens when your room is super messy?
Your parents probably ask you to clean it up, right?
Today, we're going to hear about a time when the whole world got really messy with sin, and how God planned the greatest cleanup ever using a big boat called Noah's Ark!
Story: Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, the world was filled with people who were making bad choices.
They were not listening to God, and the world was filled with sin.
Sin is when we do things that are wrong and hurtful, things that make God's heart sad.
But there was one man named Noah who loved God and listened to Him.
God saw that Noah was a good man,
and He had a special plan for him.
God told Noah to build a big boat,
called an ark,
because He was going to send a great flood to clean up all the messiness of sin in the world.
Noah trusted God and started building the ark, e
even though it was a huge job
and it seemed strange because it wasn't raining yet.
His neighbors probably thought he was crazy! But Noah knew that God had a good plan.
So, he kept building and building.
Action Time: (Pause the story and ask the kids to imagine what the ark looked like. Let them describe or draw it.)
Continuation:
When the ark was ready,
God told Noah to bring his family
and two of every kind of animal into the ark.
Can you imagine that?
Elephants, giraffes, lions, birds, and even tiny ants!
They all marched into the ark, and then God closed the door.
Then, it started to rain.
It rained and rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
The whole world was covered with water.
But Noah, his family, and all the animals were safe inside the ark because Noah had trusted and obeyed God.
After the rain stopped,
Noah and his family waited patiently until the water went down.
Finally, God told them to come out of the ark.
When they stepped out,
they saw a beautiful,
clean world.
And God made a promise to Noah and to all of us.
How did he make this promise?
What did he do?
He put a rainbow in the sky
and promised that He would never flood the whole world again.
Lesson: So, what can we learn from Noah's Ark?
Just like Noah,
we need to listen to God and trust Him,
even when things seem hard or confusing.
And just like the world needed a big cleanup,
sometimes our hearts can get messy with sin.
But God loves us so much
that He made a way to clean our hearts through
Who? Jesus.
When we make mistakes, we can ask God to forgive us, and He will make our hearts clean again.
Conclusion: Remember the rainbow?
It reminds us of God's promise and His love for us.
So, the next time you see a rainbow,
think about Noah's Ark and how God cleaned up the messiness of sin.
And remember, God loves you and wants to help you keep your heart clean too!
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for loving us and for the story of Noah's Ark. Help us to listen to you and trust you, just like Noah did. Thank you for forgiving our
sins and helping us to keep our hearts clean. We love you and thank you for your promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Title: **Corruption and Catastrophe: The Story of Noah**
Introduction:
Hi, kids!
Today, we're going to talk about an important story from the Bible that teaches us
about what happens when people choose to do wrong things,
but also about God's love
and His plan to save us.
This story is about Noah and the great flood, and it can be found in Genesis chapters 6-9.
The Problem of Sin: Genesis 6:5-6**
A long time ago, people started doing bad things and disobeying God.
The Bible says in Genesis 6:5, "The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time." This made God very sad.
God's Plan: Genesis 6:9-10, 13-14**
But there was one man who loved God and tried to do what was right.
His name was Noah.
Genesis 6:9 says, "Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God."
God decided to save Noah and his family from a coming catastrophe.
So…
God told Noah to build a big boat called an ark.
In Genesis 6:14, God said, "So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out."
The Flood: Genesis 7:11-12, 17-18**
Noah obeyed God and built the ark.
Then, he brought two of every kind of animal into the ark,
along with his family.
Genesis 7:11-12 tells us what happened next: "In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month...all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights."
The whole world was covered with water, and everything outside the ark was destroyed. But Noah, his family, and the animals were safe inside the ark.
God's Promise: Genesis 9:11-13**
After the flood, the water finally went down, and the ark came to rest on dry ground.
God made a promise to Noah and to all of us. Genesis 9:11 says, "I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
As a sign of His promise, God put a rainbow in the sky. Genesis 9:13 says, "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth."
Conclusion:
The story of Noah teaches us that
sin and
corruption can lead to
catastrophe,
but it also shows us that God loves us and
wants to save us.
He has a plan for each of us,
and He keeps His promises.
Prayer:
Let's pray together. "Dear God, thank You for loving us even when we make mistakes. Help us to obey You and do what is right. Thank You for Your promises and for taking care of us. Amen."
