16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.”
Introduction
Introduction
Romans 1:1 “1 Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,”
This gospel was promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures
This gospel was concerning His Son (Son of David acc. to the flesh, but Son of God acc. to the Spirit)
This gospel declared the Jesus to be the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead
The Gentiles became obedient to faith through this gospel
The gospel is the reason Paul was eager to go to Rome
The encouragement of the gospel is the spiritual gift Paul wishes to depart to the brethren at Rome
The reason for the eagerness, and zeal, and ministry and boldness is “it is God’s power to save”
The reason for the eagerness, and zeal, and ministry and boldness is “it is God’s power to save”
God’s power is enough to save, so this means what I need to do is tell people about this gospel so that they can encounter God’s saving power.
We need to unleash it! We do that when preach it without adding any additional requirements

One of the greatest tragedies is for the gospel to be stripped of its power
That happens when things are added to it, or things are taken away from it
The gospel already has enough power, it just needs to be unleashed
The gospel already has enough power, it just needs to be unleashed
It does not need help
It does need assistance
It does need propping
It just needs to be taught/preached and obeyed, God will do the rest

To unleash means:
To unleash means:
To let loose a powerful and mighty force
To let something begin which then cannot be stopped
To cause a strong force to be released or become unrestrained
