1 Thessalonians 4:13 ESV
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
A cheerful heart is good medicine.
Proverbs 17:22 ESV
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
I am confident that if you knew brother Joseph, you know what it is like to receive good medicine.
I want to take a moment and honor the wife, Mrs. Jessie Boison, who was by his side through think and thin.
There are so many things that have been said about Joseph Boison that truly paints a picture of a man after God’s heart.
He was gentle
A motivator and leader
Dedicated and Honest
A family historian
Generous
Now, what is it about his Cape Coast Organic Jollof Rice?
Sarah mentioned that he had this smile, I think that smile was part of his good medicine.
But it was mentioned that the most worthy aspect of his existence was his faith in God.
With that being said, I would like to direct your attention to the book of Matthew 5:1-12
I want to focus on verse 9 which states, blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. The peacemakers show others how to have inward peace with God and how to be instruments of peace to the world. They desire and possess God righteousness.
When we reflect on Joseph life we see a peacemaker.
When Jesus gave His Sermon on the Mount, He was speaking of the coming kingdom and maybe the question on many of the people then would have been, Am I eligible to enter the Messiah’s kingdom? Am I righteous enough to qualify for entrance.
I tell you that today many have the same questions. God has done all of the work for us.
God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.
No one is righteous enough, for we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the answer you and I seek.
We don’t have to be a slave to sin, but a slave to righteousness.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Who wants this free gift?
