Everyone Together… Or Not!

Play “Breaker Rock Beach” as you welcome preteens back to VBS.

Say hello to at least 2 people you don’t know well.

Then, guide them to sit in a circle around the “fire” you built.

At Breaker Rock Beach,, people love to make S’mores over a campfire.

Great place to get to know people

A game that sounds easy but is hard

Explain that you will give kids a topic such as lighthouses.

The goal is for each team member to say one descriptive word or phrase aloud that has anything to do with that topic.

Examples:

Light

Night

At sea

Guidance

Tall

But, every preteen must respond, no one can talk at the same time, and the group cannot make a plan for the order in which they will go.

If anyone speaks at the same time as someone else, the group must start over.
