Opening Scripture:

1 Peter 3:16 NLT
But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
The enemy is constantly out to seek whom He can devour… the main thing that he tries to devour first is our faith.
The enemy knows that there is power within our Faith and that it is highly contagious.
We often times misunderstand how the enemy comes in to attack us, we have a perceived way that he is going to make his move.
The enemy will often times send people into our lives to trip us up so that we slip up.
There will always be that one person who the enemy will try to use to get us to question our faith in hopes that we would loose faith.
If we keep our mind/conscience clear then we can focus on the right thing and move according to the direction of God.

Where is Your Aim?

1 Timothy 1:5 NLT
The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
If we don’t have a clear mind/conscience we will find it hard to walk with Christ because there will be so much fog and confusion.
When we don’t have good aim we will always miss our target.
In order to keep our Aim focused and locked in we must first truly know the Character of Christ.
We must also know what Jesus is and what Jesus is NOT!
One of the most important things that scripture teaches us about Jesus is that He is NOT the author of confusion.
genuine faith comes from experiencing life with Christ all the while learning how to keep your mind clear and rooted in Christ and the word of God.

Hold On Don’t Let Go!!

1 Timothy 1:19 NLT
Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
When the enemy sends attacks in against our faith the first thing that we consider letting go is our faith.
Faith is never something that we should allow ourselves to let go of.
God works according to our Faith
Our Faith in God is what is going to give us the peace and reassurance we need to get through the tough seasons in life.
For those who allow the enemy to rob them of their faith by letting it go will find themselves in a place of despair, heartache, and loneliness.
Our Faith is what God will use alongside His word and Holy Spirit to keep our heads above water and afloat.
Remember your Faith gives you authroity to walk on the seas of life with Jesus!

It Was Necessary!!

1 Peter 5:10 NLT
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.
We ask ourselves “why does God allow our faith to be tested?”, the answer is because He wants to strengthen our faith.
God gives us a promise through the Apostle Peter, He will allow the test to go on for a little while… BUT when it is all said in done He will restore everything that was taken away!
He will strengthen us, giving us a new strength to withstand the new trials and tests that come with the territory of the new season.
He will place us on a firm foundation but continuing to grow our wisdom and knowledge of His word.
We may not understand the why when we go through the storm… but by faith we can know and say that IT WAS NECESSARY!!
