Introduction
Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
LEB
Stay awake and pray that you will not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak!
Watchfulness sees temptation coming; prayer gives strength to withstand it.
1854“Men ought always to pray.” It is always the wisest thing they can do. “Men ought always to pray.” It is sometimes the only thing they can do. “Men ought always to pray,” or else they take the matter out of God’s hand. “Men ought always to pray,” for they always need God’s help, whether they think they do or not.—43.259
