Intro:

A family buys an old, dilapidated house with the vision of transforming it into their dream home. At first, its a daunting task. The roof leaks, the walls are cracked, and the foundation seems shaky. Every step that’s made reveals more problems. Hidden mold, faulty wiring and structural damage. Every turn seems like a set back. They pressed on, Driven by the dream of what it can become. They hired experts, and followed the blue prints to the tee and gradually things began to change. Block by block, nail by nail, sweat and tears something beautiful is being crafted. A place of warmth no more stress. A place of safety no more being battered by the wind and the rain. A place of Love no more chasing it and looking for it in all the wrong places. Just like that house God is working on us, renovating and perfecting us until we become the masterpiece He envisioned. And the same God who began this good work in us will carry this work on to completion. “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” Vincent Van Gogh.

Commitment to Construction: Staying Dedicated to Your Purpose

Philippians 1:3–5 “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,”. Paul is highlighting the importance of dedication and commitment. Many of us feel like that old house burdened by flaws, failures, and what we look like. But let us not forget God is the Master contractor he specializes in renovating. No matter how daunting the process. He is committed to completing the good work he has started. Paul writes to the Philippians, expressing his confidence that God, who began a good work in them, will continue it until it is completed in the day of Jesus Christ. I’m proud to know that God ain’t through with me yet. To have the joy in knowing that when he saved me, He didn’t leave me. That might sound crazy to some, cause we think that because we saved we no longer need the Lord. I’ve found out that us saved folks need the Lord more now than ever before, just because we are saved. The Lord is telling us the work is not over. TELL SOMEBODY IT AIN OVER! He is Bringing me back to life. Look at me yea i’m struggling but I know Jesus. Yea I still do stuff I ain’t proud of but i’m saved. I still fail sometimes but i’m stronger. Why am i going through this? Cause he doing the Final Touches. Just as the homeowner remains committed to the renovation process, even when it’s inconvenient or costly, we must stay dedicated to our purpose, continually working towards the vision God has for us. Perseverance and the right support is how we can overcome, leading to a home more beautiful and sturdy than before. The right support causes you to stay commited to the process, even when it’s challenging. Name your 5 closes friends, that can tell you a lot about yourself. If they not do nothing, or trying to do nothing. We have to surround ourselves with people that’s going to push us and hold us accountable not just with their words, but also with their actions.

Detailed Design:Trusting God’s Master Plan for your Life

Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Paul reminds us to to never lose confidence in knowing that when God starts something he finishes. Knowing that reassures us that God has our life mapped out to the tee. Every project starts with a detailed design. This blueprint essential, it shows how each part fits together to create the final design. We may not understand why sickness take over our body. We wonder why things don’t work out how we expected or get the outcome we wanted. It’s designed to move our trust from ourselves to only God. The only way is the way with obstacles. If the way is clear and easy you are out of bounds. Trusting God’s plans have people calling you crazy. You don’t look at stuff the same. When you see obstacles you start saying listen i’m about to get to the other side, whether i got to under, over, beside or through you i’m going to make it. Why am i going to make it? Glad you asked! The Lord directs my path because he’s my shepherd. Grace and mercy protects me, the Lord strong and mighty. The Lord is my light and salvation home shall I fear whom shall i be afraid. I’m sticking to the plan. It’s a proven plan, I’ve seen it in action. Everyone counted me out, but God’s plan had people counting on me. People laughed at me cause I was at the end, but God’s plan got me at the beginning. People talked about me cause i was the borrower, but God’s plan making me the lender. Doctors said based off your condition, his experience and research to start saying goodbye, you only have a year to leave. But according to God’s plan you still here 5 years later. It’s not our will but God’s will be done because it’s in his plan. We get overwhelmed by the complexity of the process. Anger sets in because you don’t have the ability to know every detail about the plan God has for your life. Have we ever thought about maybe God has it designed that way for a reason. If we knew all the details we gonna try to change stuff, do it our way. The Lord knows we like to cut corners, leaves some pieces missing, try to save time and money. God says you don’t need to know every detail because all that going to do is create more problems down the road. Embrace what plan God has for you, even when the details are unclear. Just know when trusting in Him, He will began a good work in you. Every small act of obedience, faith and trust, leads you to something bigger than yourself.

Celebrate and Elevate: Rejoicing in Progress and Anticipating Future Growth

Philippians 1:9–11 “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” This encourages us to grow in love and knowledge, living lives that bring glory to God. Exhaustion often sets in and we cant find the energy to celebrate. You might feel worn out but you have to appreciate progress that's made. The reason we can’t elevate is because we don’t celebrate. Take the time to celebrate milestones, thank God for His guidance, and new opportunities. Every step you make alt to be a praise and worship need to be next because you anticipating what God is about to do next because He ain’t done yet.

It’s important to stay dedicated to your purpose. Staying dedicated causes us to understand we all have a role in God’s ultimate plan. Listen I don’t care where you are right now, know that His plan is bigger than you. You not by yourself when you say you don’t understand where you fit in at. Just know that there is a place for you, and it’s not made by mans hands. Just as God began a good work in us He completed the greatest work of all through his son Jesus christ. Oh yes He did. On the Cross i’m reminded when Jesus said “it is finished”. He completed the Work of salvation for you and for me. He carried our sins, He bore our shame, and He rose again with all power in his hands.
I’m Bold Enough to Celebrate the fact that he started working on me. He’s restored me from the ground up. He knocked down the Walls of shame out. He tore the foundations of the world out. He ripped ceilings of limitations out of my dwelling. He began to build according to his word. When I look at the old me ans see the new me I begin to sing that old hymn
TO GOD BE THE GLORY, TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, WHO YIELDED HIS LIFE AN ATONEMENT FOR SIN
AND OPENED THE LIFE GATE SO ALL MAY GO IN
