A World of Wickedness

As Children of God we must not be overly concerned with integration into the wicked world.

A text can never mean what it originally did not mean.

4 main interpretations of this text

1. The some of God are those who were from Adam and the daughters of men are some sort of underling species of hominid.

This is a view that is more modern and is an attempt to talk away the creation narrative and evolution.

2. The sons of God are ancient kings and the daughters of men are their royal harems.

This is is difficult to believe because we are introducing a who other group o people that have not yet been mentioned.

This also doesn't make real scents because this would mean there are only a select group of people the kings or rulers who where truly deserving of the punishment that was see about to be poured out on man and animals. While this sin impossible it is unlikely . We do see things things like this taking place.

3. The Sons of God are Angles

The sin is the cohabitation between super natural and natural beings.

Beings form the spirital realm and the physical realm.

If the purpose for Jude 7 is to compair the unnatural relation that were taking place in Sodom and Gomorrah with the similar unnatural realtions taking place with Angles and Humans then it could make sencese

But if the the purpose is to show that God is going to intact his divine judgement on the fallen Angles that follow Satan and the People who follow Satan and live in sin this doesnt work.

It is the establishment of a marital relation ship that is not propper.

The punishment for all these are for human being there is no mention of non humans

Nephilim- Giants

Numbers 13:33 “33 We even saw the Nephilim there—the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim! To ourselves we seemed like grasshoppers, and we must have seemed the same to them.””

Nephilim is not an ethnic designation but a description of a particular type of individual. In Numbers 13:33 they are identified, along with the descendants of Anak, as some of the inhabitants of the land of Canaan. The latter are described as giants, but there is no reason to consider the Nephilim to be giants. It is more likely that the term describes heroic warriors, perhaps the ancient equivalent of knights errant.
