THE POWER OF CRYING OUT . . .

JEREMIAH 33: 3

Is A:

I.                   PRINCIPLE WE MUST VISUALIZE!

**  The Bible makes a distinction between “prayer and crying out to God!

**Jeremiah 33: 3 Call to Me and I will answer you

**Psalm 50: 15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me!

**Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who CALL upon Him

**Call = qara and it means calling aloud or crying out!

**Not only is The Power of Crying Out a Principle we must Visualize but it:

Is A:

II.                PATTERN WE MUST PERSONALIZE

**It is not a formula that we memorize but it is an overflow that we release!

**Sometimes God will arrange or allow circumstances in our life that seem to have no solution and then He does nothing to solve the problem . . . UNTIL WE CRY OUT!

**Psalm 55: 17 Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and murmur, AND He will hear my voice

**Complain = hamah and it means a loud humming or murmuring even to a growl or a roar

**Psalm 18: 6 In my distress I CALLED upon the Lord, And CRIED to my God for help; He HEARD my voice . . .

**Called and Cried = shava and is a higher pitched shout for help!

**Psalm 34: 17 The righteous CRY, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all of their troubles

**Cry = tsa’aq and it means shriek as in grief

**Psalm 142:1 I CRY ALOUD with my VOICE to the Lord; I make supplication with my VOICE to the Lord 2 I pour out my complaint before Him . . .

**Psalm 61:1 Hear my CRY, O God; give heed to my prayer

**Cry = rinnah and it means a ringing or shrill sound

The Power of Crying Out Is A: PRINCIPLE we must VISUALIZE and it is a PATTERN we must PERSONALIZE but it:

Is A:

III.           PROMISE WE MUST INTERNALIZE!

**Notice what God promised to Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 33: 3 CALL to ME and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know!

**Notice what God promised David:

Psalm 50: 15 CALL upon Me in the day of trouble: I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me!

As a result of David repeatedly crying out loud to God and God delivering him, healing him and directing his path, David came to believe that:

Psalm 145: 18 The Lord is near to all who CALL upon Him, to all who call upon Him in Truth!

**David clearly intended for us to understand that his prayers were actually SOUNDED OUT!

**David sounded out his prayers with FAITH and with FERVENCY!
