New series “Return to Me” coming this month—a focus on the book of Hosea!

So, let’s focus on our need to set the example of Repentance and Returning to God and His Word on a daily basis.

Returning to God through forgiveness

2 POINTS:

We have to forgive yourself first to forgive others.

When you can understand what the other person is going through then you can fully forgive.

EXAMPLE—

Just like you…

I have had family members and close friends that have let me down.

I have taken offence to their actions or lack of actions.

I came to a place where my hurt led me to make some really poor decisions.

I felt like I was...

unimportant

unworthy

shameful

that it would be better if I didn’t exist...

HA! HA!

That is a LIE!

THERE WAS HOPE FOR ME AND THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU!!

POINT #1: FORGIVING YOURSELF

In order to forgive others you must be able to first forgive yourself—even if you are needing to forgive them for the littlest thing.

that Jesus died for me and others like me.

POINT #2: FORGIVING OTHERS

To forgive others you usually have to understand what the other person is going through.

Live in the shadow of other people’s ideas and thoughts about me

Giving and Receiving forgiveness is my New Way of Living and it brings NEW LIFE.

So, “What’s in your wallet”?

You know— what is in your past that you need to accept God’s forgiveness?

Who do you need to release?

You know— forgive!

Give them and the event to God
