Finally

Unity in the body

Ephesians 4:1–3 “1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Gifts to Grow

Kingdom Inheritance

The Choice is ours

Ephesians 5:15–16 “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

Submission in the church, home, and workplace

Finally, Remember and Stand! - v10-13

The Whole Armor of God

The Belt of Truth

The foundation and binding piece
Truth of God’s Word
Truthfulness in all
Romans 3:4 “By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.””

The Breastplate of Righteousness

Isaiah 59:1 “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;”
Isaiah 59:16–17 “He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. 17 He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak.”
The righteousness of Christ imputed to believers
Righteous thought and action

The Readiness given by the Gospel of Peace

Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.””
Readiness - saved by the gospel; led by the gospel!
Readiness to minister
Readiness to love
Readiness to follow God wherever

The Shield of Faith

moveable armor
quenching darts
Job, and his losses
Luke 22:31 ““Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,”
SPECIFIC FAITH!
In Christ
Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.””
In Biblical Promises
John 14:13–14 “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”
John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

The Helmet of Salvation

Confidence and Assurance
The ability to see the field of battle
Mark 12:30 “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”

The Sword of The Spirit

Both defensive and offensive
Matthew 4: The Temptation of Christ
Swords are useless unless the wielder is skilled
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
Swords are useless unless the sword is used

Persevere for The Gospel

Keep Alert: be aware of the battle, and your place in it
Persevere: Put ON the whole Armor and STAND!
Pray for the Saints: for the advance of the gospel
Soldiers of Christ arise And put your armor on
Be strong in all your God provides
Thro' His eternal Son
The powers that oppose
Are stronger far than you
But boldly trust in Jesus Christ
And prove what He can do
