Introduction:
I enjoy listening to or watching pastors react and correct bad theology in my spare time.
One of the places that is overrun with lousy theology is an app called TikTok.
If you don't know what this is, don't worry. You are not missing out on anything, but it is filled with 6-10-second clips about anything and everything.
So these pastors watch these theological dumpster fires, and every now and then, someone will ask a good question but follow it up with, and this is why I left Christianity or the church.
One of the questions that was asked is how do we know what characteristics God has if no one has ever seen him.
This reminded me of 2 verse first was
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
and
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
I find that sunlight is the best disinfectant, and if you have bad theology like these people on tik tok then open up your bible and find the truth.
If you were here on Sunday Morning or watched the live on Sunday I preached on how to use the time you schedule your devotions wisely.
The Question tonight is: What are God's Moral Communicable Attributes?
What are things that are true about God, that can also become true of us.

etc.…
As you can see, I could stand here all night and list off all of God's attributes, but that does me and you no good if you and I can't chapter and verse it.
God is the ultimate example of Love
He leads by example
That is why tonight, we will focus on this attribute
God's attributed Love
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Central Idea of the Text:
God's Love is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional, serving as the foundation of His relationship with us.
Declaration:
This Love is the cornerstone of our faith and the source of our salvation.
How Can God Love?
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
God Is Love
Love Is Woven Into God Nature
How Has God Shown His Love?
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
His Love is shown through sending His Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for our sins.
Return to the Text
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
How Should We Love?
Be a reflection of God's Love.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Show Love by encouraging and building up others with our words and actions.
We are proof of God's nature {LOVE}
My wife and I are foster Parents. People have told us that we are crazy, but they have also told us that they could never do what we do. There is lots of training involved. One of the lessons I have walked away with from all that training is that some kids are going to come into your home believing they know what Love is; just a few months back, I was told about some kids who went to a church in Lancaster they had marks all up and down their arms from a metal hanger. They had been beaten. Those kids think they know what Love is, but they don't. As foster parents and Christians, we have the opportunity and the privilege to show faithful Love.
Love is not selfish. It's selfless
Love is not proud but humble
Love is not neglectful but nurturing
Love is Gods Nature
Conclusion :
Conclusion :
I started this week by preaching about how to use the time God gives you wisely.
I started tonight's message by asking about God's morally communicable attributes.
How do you know what you believe unless you study it out?
It's not enough to say God loves the world; you should be able to prove it without a shadow of a doubt.
As Dr. Samuel Gipp, who was with us some months back, says, "Anytime someone makes a claim, you should be asking Chapter and Verse ?"But I would take it a step further:; any claim you make, you should be able to Chapter and Verse it.
Love is a universal term,
but where does it come from?
How do you, as a Christian, know that?
Can you prove it?
Can you prove it from the bible?
After tonight's message, I hope you can.
If Done Early Take Question?
Pray In Jesus' Name
