The Introduction

Have them Stand read with you
1 Samuel 16:11–14 GNB
11 Then he asked him, “Have you any more sons?” Jesse answered, “There is still the youngest, but he is out taking care of the sheep.” “Tell him to come here,” Samuel said. “We won’t offer the sacrifice until he comes.” 12 So Jesse sent for him. He was a handsome, healthy young man, and his eyes sparkled. The Lord said to Samuel, “This is the one—anoint him!” 13 Samuel took the olive oil and anointed David in front of his brothers. Immediately the spirit of the Lord took control of David and was with him from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah. 14 The Lord’s spirit left Saul, and an evil spirit sent by the Lord tormented him.
1 Samuel 16:16–23 GNB
16 So give us the order, sir, and we will look for a man who knows how to play the harp. Then when the evil spirit comes on you, the man can play his harp, and you will be all right again.” 17 Saul ordered them, “Find me a man who plays well and bring him to me.” 18 One of his attendants said, “Jesse, of the town of Bethlehem, has a son who is a good musician. He is also a brave and handsome man, a good soldier, and an able speaker. The Lord is with him.” 19 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse to say, “Send me your son David, the one who takes care of the sheep.” 20 Jesse sent David to Saul with a young goat, a donkey loaded with bread, and a leather bag full of wine. 21 David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much and chose him as the man to carry his weapons. 22 Then Saul sent a message to Jesse: “I like David. Let him stay here in my service.” 23 From then on, whenever the evil spirit sent by God came on Saul, David would get his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave, and Saul would feel better and be all right again.

C. H. Spurgeon
Some events in life cause pain that goes deep and lasts a long time. These are “traumas.”
• A trauma would be considered a situation beyond control, one that shakes a person to the core. A trauma can lead to mental disorders or to suicide. Recovery is often slow; flashbacks are common.
• Traumas may not even be remembered but can still influence people in certain unhealthy ways or cause them to make unhealthy decisions. *Talk About this/Ask Any every knowingly made a unhealthy decision?
• Those whose traumas don’t get healed may grow up to damage others, even their own families.* Talk About The train Wreck Relationship..
• Traumatic events overwhelm the person’s ordinary adapting or coping mechanisms to life.
• With trauma, each component of the ordinary response to danger continues to persist in an altered state long after the actual danger is over. There are profound and lasting changes in psychological arousal, emotion, cognition, and memory.
Symptoms of trauma include:
anxiety and panic disorders, depression, intense fear, anger, loneliness,
attachment disorders, flashbacks, helplessness, loss of control, and threat of annihilation.
Panic, anxiety, flashbacks, and anger sometimes are labeled under the diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
This Afternoon Lets look close to causes of Trauma:
physical abuse
1. Physical abuse is defined as:
Deliberately aggressive or violent behavior by one person toward another that results in bodily injury.
When someone deliberately hurts your body or takes away your control of your body.
Any non-accidental act or behavior causing injury, trauma, or other physical suffering or bodily harm
2. sexual abuse
Sexual abuse, in criminal law, any act of sexual contact that a person suffers, submits to, participates in, or performs as a result of force or violence, threats, fear, or deception or without having legally consented to the act.
Sexual contact in this context is usually understood to encompass any intentional touching, fondling, or penetration of intimate parts of the victim’s body by the perpetrator for the purpose of arousing or satisfying the perpetrator’s sexual desires or as a means of degrading, humiliating, or punishing the victim.
Criminal sexual contact thus includes acts of sexual violence such as rape.
(1) the victim actively resists the act, (2) the victim otherwise communicates to the perpetrator that he or she does not agree to the act, (3) the victim does not freely communicate or signal to the perpetrator his or her agreement to the act, (4) the victim is a minor or a child, (5) the victim lacks understanding of the significance or consequences of the act, or (6) the victim is mentally or physically incapacitated in relevant ways—e.g., by being intoxicated or unconscious.
3. psychological abuse
Psychological abuse, also known as mental or emotional abuse, involves using verbal and non-verbal communication to try to control someone or harm them emotionally.
4. Grief
Grief is a deep sadness caused especially by someone's death. It is a cause of deep sadness and trouble or annoyance.
Grief is a noun and is defined as "keen mental suffering or distress over affliction or loss; sharp sorrow; painful regret"
2. It is also defined as "very great sadness, especially at the death of someone"
5. Displacement
The act of forcing somebody/something away from their home or position

Remember what trauma is and does. Trauma is a thief. It steals from a person. It takes away their sense of wellbeing, security, predictability and safety.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep

If We had time we could look at the 3 David in my opinion Suffered with:
Psychological abuse
Psalm 51:5 KJV
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Theologians Say: The Word On the Street was, David’s mom had fling while married to Jesse and got pregnant with David. And thats Why Jesse and his Son’s never excepted David.
Perhaps David might of believed it as well.
David acknowledge that from his infancy, he possessed a natural propensity to sin, elsewhere in Scripture referred to as the lust, works or sins of the flesh according to (Galatians 5:16 -17 &19 - 21) because of the sinful nature, every person is marred from birth by a selfish inclination to pursue his or her own desires and pleasures, even if it causes pain and suffering to others, The problem of the sinful desires within us can be resolved only by the power of Salvation from the savior who hung up for our hangups and God’s enabling grace of the Holy Spirit.
And so he was treated as if he was illegitimate
And yet God choose him over his brethern.. stop there..
Father, in the name of Jesus we come before you right now with the spirit of gratefulness we’re grateful father for how you’ve exposed us to a place of understanding of who we are and what we’re called to be father, we declare & decree at this very moment Lord God that we are not victims of trauma, but we are victors. And today we walk in liberty today we walk in freedom father we pray for our brother & our sister that has gone through sexual abuse Lord God, We come against now Lord God, the trauma that has caused my brother & Sister in the in the past, Its not there fault. Lord God, we pray for the spirit of deliverance and healing and restoration Lord God, we pray for the spirit of forgiveness God of the individual that has committed this act, Lord God, but we declared decree that we will not be victims of this situation. Romans 8.37
Romans 8:37 KJV
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
So Lord, we pulled down every stronghold, every demonic force that would try to have us to operate in psychological warfare.

2 Corinthians 10:4–5 KJV
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Father I thank you for the power God to be restored from grief. The things we have we’ve gone through Lord Jesus, losing loved ones, being affected by sickness & situations & circumstances that go well beyond our control , we Thank for the time that you gave us to grieve and live through it.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
we pray against Lord God, the spirit of displacement Lord God that the enemy would want me to feel like I don’t belong that I don’t belong here that this is not my place to worship God I come against it In Jesus name, that spirit of isolation Lord God that will cause me to disconnect Lord God, and yet then complain, Eph 4.16
Ephesians 4:16 NLT
16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Lord God, father come against that spirit of displacement and we replace it with the Spirit of Unity, I speak a connection to my brother. I speak a connection to my sister. I declaring decree in the name of Jesus That I shall operate in the body of Christ, the mighty name of Jesus, so father, I come against all the abuses of the enemy, that he would try to lay on me and rest on me, Lord God, and keep me in a place of submission to your perfect will.
God I shall not submit to the devil, but I declare decree in the mighty name of Jesus that I will walk up right before God, I will walk with a pure heart and a pure mind I walk in forgiveness. I walk in and overcoming conquering spirit, and I declared decree that I will walk on water that I will move mountains that I will walk in the spirit of faith that Jesus Christ is placed over my life and my family Will walk in a place of generational blessing for the rest of our lives and it is so in Jesus name……
