The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Pray for understanding, pray for ministering opportunities, pray for the Holy Spirit to have His way.
What happened in between 1:1 and 1:2
When does our God create something empty or out of order?
Is 45:18 tells us that He did not create it empty
It is here we see the concept of Spiritual Habitats
The Spirit of God was “hovering”
Hebrew word that means He was places in charge of the proper care for and maintenance of the water.
In the middle of the Chaos that had been caused by Satan the Spirit of God remained at the helm of the waters
This is the natural habitat for the Holy Spirit… the waters.
If there is a Habitat for the Holy Spirit… the demonic and unclean Spirits also have a habitat.
Defining Habitat
Commonly the place where someone or something naturally and normally lives and grows.
More specifically, it is housing for a controlled physical environment in which something can live under surrounding inhospitable conditions.
closely watch this as when we think we are “good” because the Holy Spirit is with me we need to ensure that another has does not have housing in us.
Various habitats (Celestial, terrestrial, aquatic… etc. ) Habitats are made or forged… in our case by us
Condense to the habitat of Light and Habitat of Darkness
When the Habitat of Light prevails the flow and manifestations of all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
When the habitat of Darkness prevails the demonic now has the conditions needed to develop, grow, reproduce, and expand.
It is imperative for us to know what conditions lead to each habitat
We are responsible to forge the conditions for the Holy Spirit to have the freedom to have the freedom and dominion in our lives
We are responsible to forge the conditions for the Holy Spirit to have the freedom to have the freedom and dominion in our lives
The Habitat of the Demonic
The Habitat of the Demonic
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none.
Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order.
Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”
Unclean Spirit returns to or moves within the waterless places (droughts)
Unsettled because its rest is in the dry places of people.
It is in the dry and arid places they await to forge a new habitat in the vessel they have left.
Unclean Spirits naturally pursue the dry arid places.
Before I advance I want to make some things painfully clear.
A. If the dry arid places lack water; and
B. Where there is no water the Holy Spirit is not present; then
it follows
C. When we are in a drought the conditions are adequate for demons to forge their habitat in your vessel
A life that is without water is one that is propense to be a habitat for the demonic
there is no river of fresh water in their life
there are no torrents of water to refresh them
there is no rain in their life
THERE IS NO WATER
The demonic pursues these places… and if they pursue such places do you not see a reason to be submerged in the river of the Lord.
Driven to the Dessert
Driven to the Dessert
When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and said with a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.”
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. (For many a time it had seized him. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.)
The man break the bonds and be driven to the dessert
Driven there by the demons in him
the Devil knew that if he kept him in the dessert (drought) there could be no deliverance for him.
When the free flowing rivers of the Holy Spirit are not present… no matter how much ministration the person receives they cannot be set free.
Demons in the same manner will create the impulse to prevent the person from leaving the places of drought by having them avoid the flow of the Spirit.
they want you to live in the dryness.
** Be careful when you can tolerate a “good word” of God but you avoid ministration
You are being driven by demons to drought
**Be careful when in the middle of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit you are distracted
You are being driven by demons to drought
What is it that is impulsing you to remain distracted… so much so that you avoid the places of refreshing in the Spirit?
It is the unclean spirit that is refusing to leave that is submitting you to the drought to forge the conditions for their habitat.
We cannot live w/o the flow of the Holy Spirit
He is not a slogan; or He is not an after thought; and He is not just part of a random prayer.
the Demons went into the pigs and drowned
this prevented them from continuing to have dominion in the area.
***One of the greatest weapons we have in our warfare is the rivers of water that pours out of the Holy Spirit.***
Why is their no water in Copa?
Driven to be a Useless Army
Driven to be a Useless Army
Valley of Dry Bones
Nation of warriors
Incapable
disabled
disjointed
A drought will render the army of warriors useless
look at the church
where ever there is not a free flow of the Spirit of God this will eventually become the habitat for demons…
these demons are experts in religiosity.
Religiosity and apostacy are the products of the drought
Apostacy is not just leaving the church it is abandoning the tenets of faith the main one being flowing in the Spirit … this is how the Church was born.
There cannot be a church without water or it will become the habitat of demons
Having the culture of temple/evangelicals does not mean you are in the River of the Holy Spirit
Paul tells Timothy to run away from such people who “have a form of Godliness but deny His power…” RUN AWAY THEY ARE DRY
What drives you to have practices that feed your drought but you avoid the practices that feed the free flowing of the Holy Spirit?
Tell me what happened to all the revivals? Asbury
Driven to Death
Driven to Death
but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel.
sin was placed on the Animal and it would go into the dessert
where does sin lead?… the dessert and this is the habitat of the demons
when you are living in sin you do not want to pray
when you are living in sin you do not want to worship
when you enter either one of these states you are met with the Holy Spirit that confronts everything in you that does not belong.
2. Tell me someone is in their flesh without telling me… Tell me someone is dry without telling me…
a. they dont worship freely… whatever let them do it.
b. they dont pray freely… whatever let someone else do it
c. the constant flow of water is lacking…and the space is becoming a habitat for demons
d. when you’re out of water everything bothers you… nothing is ever good enough… its too much… its not enough… theres a better way to do it but you wont lift a finger to help
Consider how the warriors for Gideon were selected… from 3200 only 300 were selected to fight and they were the ones who knew how to drink water…
it does you no good to be by the river and not know how to drink
Religiosity and Pride keeps you from bending your knee and humbling yourself
weep in the presence
shout in the presence
The goat in the dessert dies
sinning is not the thing that makes you bad (We all Sin) it is the inability to repent and confess in our Lord
What keeps you from submerging yourself in the depths of His presence… it is the very demons that took the goat into the dessert.
How many have died after having been given new life?
Close and minister
Those who are dry
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
Those who are planted in the water
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Close with Ezekiel… we stand before a sea of people who are dying
You see in Maricopa it does not Rain
When it does we run from it…
We are entrenched in a war that is about water
We need to remember how to stand before the Lord and cry for that rain… We cannot be a church that is not tapped in to the source
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
