Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
The New Creation.
A Christian is a “new (kainos) creation (κτίσις, ktisis)” (2 Cor 5:17; Gal 5:17); the phrase can also be translated “new creature.”
Similarly, a Christian is to take off the old human being, to be renewed (ἀνανεόω, ananeoō) in mind, and to put on the new (kainos) human being.(ἄνθρωπος.
