Introduction

Hello Dwell, this is Kenneth.
[1 second pause]
Today is Thursday, October 10th. Thanks for joining us for today's Dwell Kids Daily!
[2 seconds of silence]
For the next few minutes, I invite you to join me as we look to our Great King by opening our hearts to hear from Him through the words of the Bible.
[2 seconds of silence]
Silence
As we begin, let us remember that God calls His people, young and old, to be still and know that He is God. Let's take a few seconds to clear our minds, so that we can hear him better.
[5 seconds of silence]
Opening Prayer
(Thursday)
Father, when we spend time in your word and set our hearts on your teaching, we flourish like a lush tree planted by a stream of fresh water. Teach us today and nourish our souls.

Passage
Today’s passage come from Psalm 52 verse 9.

9 God, I will thank you forever for what you have done. With those who worship you, I will trust you because you are good.

[3 seconds of silence]
Exhortation
It is good when evil is destroyed. It is right and just for wickedness to be put to shame. In all the best stories, the world (or galaxy) celebrates when the evil enemy is finally defeated. When this happens we should thank God for doing it, and this is what Psalm 52 is all about. King David is warning those who would do evil that God is a good God who will destroy those who find joy in lying, hurting people, speaking wicked things, and making evil plans. God is the hero of the Bible. Jesus is the good guy who defeats the bad guy.
Again, like in all the good stories, there are people who follow the good guy and people who follow the bad guy. These stories teach us what the Bible has been saying all along. good with triumph over evil. The wicked will perish with their evil leader, but for those who follow the hero, they will rejoice in the end! They will live happily ever after.
This is what today’s verse says. God’s people will live forever, and forever will be a big never-ending celebration of His goodness and kindness. We will rejoice that he has wiped away every tear, every sorrow, all wickedness and lies, all rebels who would hurt others. God will win the victory for us so that we can live with him, truly happy, forever.
Call to Action: Take a few seconds, right now and let God know that you will follow him. that you will trust him because he is good.
[7 seconds of silence]
Closing Prayer
Let’s pray together.
[3 seconds of silence]
Father you are good, and your loyal love for us is never-ending. In fact, nothing can separate us from your love, not sorrow, not sickness, not swords, nothing at all can separate us from your goodness and love. May we always have an attitude of gratitude. We pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of King Jesus. Amen.
