Doing Life Together in Christ

Next week is the conclusion of our series, titled, “Doing Life together in Christ.” This last lesson serves as the “roof,” of the house God is building. How?

The roof of a house, once placed on the home has a touch on each one of the four walls of the house. Though high above the foundation, by being attached to the pillars/walls, it too finds itself supported by the foundation.

Doing life together as a church is no different, in that it has a touch in each of the four walls/pillars of the spiritual house.

We do life together as we share Christ with others

We do life together as we grow together in Christ

We do life together as we worship God together in Christ

We do life together as we serve alongside and with one another in Christ

We do life together b/c of the unity we have b/c we are attached to Christ the Chief cornerstone

When all these pillars are rightly attached to the foundation of Jesus Christ and the roof is placed on—then this is where life

The roof of a house, though high above the foundation, is still attached to the foundation, b/c it’s supported by the pillars attached to it.

Sometimes a house requires maintenance and upkeep:

*Financial maintenance

*Lamenting/Mourning of certain things to encourage growth
