Our Victorious Lord

John provided us with undeniable proof Jesus is the Son of God (John 1:33-34) John revealed Jesus role as the Lamb of God (John 1:29) who redeems us by His death on the cross (John 19:30). John does not leave us with Jesus on the cross and in the tomb (John 19:42).
Jesus’ resurrection
The first inkling that Jesus was alive was the witness of Mary Magdalene who went early to the tomb of Jesus. She reported the stone to the tomb was rolled away. She ran and told the disciples. (John 20:1-2)
John tells us that he went to the tomb with Peter and found the tomb empty. John believed but Peter did not know what to make of the empty tomb. (John 1:4-10).
Mary went back to the tomb of Jesus to mourn and see if she could find the body of Jesus. She did not know that her mourning would soon turn to joy. (John 20:11-16) Jesus called her name and she immediately recognized her Lord.
She ran back with joy telling the disciples Jesus is alive. (John 20:18). That same evening Jesus appeared to the disciples and revealed Himself as the risen Lord.
What Does This Means for Us?
Our sin debt was paid.
Jesus as God’s Lamb was the only One who could satisfy God the Father’s price to forgive our sins. The Bible says “without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.” Jesus the sinless lamb, perfectly met the Father’s requirement. Hebrews 9:28.
2. Jesus’ resurrection gain victory over death and hell.
Paul wrote this concerning those hope is in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:54-55. All believers who died, and the living have no fear of death and hell. Jesus took away the keys of death and hell from Satan.
3. Eternal life is available to all who receive Jesus as their Savior.
Paul wrote “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 3:23.
This means if you do not have Christ in your heart then when you die, you futre is eternal separation from God in a place call hell.
Those who place their trust in the saving grace of our Lord, Jesus says “28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Jn 10:28–12:25.
Live each day joyfully knowing the blesses hope we have been given. Psalm 23 gives us the promise even through the shadow of death you are with me.
4.Believers are given a promise of a new home in heaven.
King James Version (Chapter 14:1-3)
14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Believers we are just passing through this old sinful world. Our citizenship is in heaven where Jesus is preparing our home. Moreover where all our love ones are waiting for us.
Conclusion
Don’t live with a cloud of gloom over your head. We may have all kinds of difficulties both physical and circumstances of life. Just remember the promises of Jesus and the joy that awaits us.
One of my favorites verses is:
Isaiah 64:4
4  For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear,
Neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee,
What he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him., Is 64:4.
Wait patiently for our Lord. Fight the good race, and then when our Lord returns hear the words “well down good and faithful servants, enter into the joy of the Lord. Are you ready?
