Nevertheless, since that visible and tangible bread is given to the good and to the evil, there is a daily bread which the children seek. And this bread is the Word of God,22 which is dispensed to us every day. It is our daily bread, the nourishment of our minds—not the nourishment of our bodies. It is necessary for us even now, while we are laborers in the vineyard.
