Love one another pt 1
Love one another pt 1
Love is good and is from God
So anyone that “loves” knows God?
Anyone who truly loves
GOD IS LOVE
Doesn’t mean God’s persona is 100% love, but that 100% of Love is God.
God is also light 1 John 1:5 “5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”
Jesus shows perfect love
God sent his only son
Not us but Jesus

Recap what is love?
1 Corinthians 13:4–13 “4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
Who is one another?
In this text, it is other believers, others in our local church, our church members
Why should we love one another
Because Jesus loved us, so when we see others who know Jesus, it should be our nature to love them also
“ What you do to me” Paul Acts 9:4–8 “4 And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” 7 The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8 Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.”
People will “See God” when they see us loving one another
John 13:34–35 “34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.””
Greatest of these is love, not faith, not hope
Do we love each other?
Tough spot our church is and it is going to be easy to not love one another in this time
Are we :Patient, Kind, does not envy, boast, proud, dishonor others, self seeking, easily angered, no record of wrongs, doesn’t delight in evil,
If we want people to know Jesus, we need to be like Jesus, they should see Jesus in how we treat each other.
