3 And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. 2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; 3 And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; 4 That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. 5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. 6 And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. 7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. 8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

This is a very common story that we all have heard and read.
I remember so many times as newby in Christ that I wanted to hear Gods voice. I was like, how does God speak.
Amd the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli
Word of the Lord was precious
As a babe in Christ:
There will be times were you may not perceive that God is speaking to you.
You may make mistakes in perceiving Gods voice as did Samuel. He went to Eli 2 times but on the third time, after the instruction of his father, he was able to hear.
I want to say the very carefully. But parenting is essential for our children. Whether that be natural or spiritual parents. They, we… help our children learn about God and what to do when that time comes for them to grow in their faith.
But get this… there may be instances whereby you need to confirm what you heard. This is where you spiritual parent is important. Eli told Samuel, well since you heard from God, tell me what he said.
This part of Samuel’s life was him becoming of age and being mature in his walk with God. As we mature in God, we have to make sure that our ears, our spirits are in tune with Him. God speaking to Samuel and giving him instruction was crazy because this was the first time that Samuel heard God’s voice with a message that was so blunt that he was scared to share.

15 And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.

I’ll leave it as that…
There are multiple ways that God can speak to us. I will try to dive into some next week.
I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You came to Earth. You lived and You died on the cross.
You shed Your blood. They buried You and for three days You remained in the grave, but on the third day God raised You from the dead, and today You are alive forever more.
Jesus I believe this and I receive You as my Lord, and as my Savior. I ask that You forgive me of my sins and with that I thank You Lord for forgiving me of all my sins.
Thank you Lord for saving me. Right Now I Am Saved
