My ideas

2. How can I be an athlete for the glory of God?

As athletes, because of our culture, you will be celebrated and admired.
While also being criticized and resented.
Athletes, like all of you, have an amazing opportunity to point to Jesus and win people to Him.
Be an inspiration to your teammates - be the example
Joy, positivity, kindness, good sportsmanship! Be the example
Be disciplined in your training - endure the long game
training requires endurance and commitment.
Respect your teammates and coach - treat them the way you would want to be treated!
Be aware of what each other needs to succeed - be a good teammate!
What does it look like for you to be an athlete for the glory of God.
As I close…
We seek to do all to the glory of God because that is exactly what led Jesus to die on the cross for us!
Jesus is the perfect example of what it looks like to do all to the glory of God.
You can learn to glorify God as a student and an athlete simply by looking at Jesus’ example.
If you want to talk more about Jesus’ example, please talk to me when you see me around!
