Why Reach the Nations?

1. Jesus commanded us to reach the nations.

Mark 16:15 NIV
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Matthew 28:19 NIV
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Acts 1:8 NIV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

2. Everyone needs Jesus.

John 3:18 NIV
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
You can’t put a price tag on eternal life.

College students are the key to reaching the nations.
Every modern missions movement has pretty muched been started by college students or college aged young people.
They are the most recruitable, trainable and sendable people.
They are smart and influential.
Internationals are coming to the college campus.

3. More people will worship God.

John 4:23 NIV
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

4. It will have an impact for all eternity.

Matthew 6:19–21 NIV
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Investing analogy:
I want to invest where I know my money is safe.
If I know it is going to depreciate, it is called a “liability.” Sometimes this is necessary.

5. It makes life exciting and meaningful!

John 10:10 NIV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
