Miracle’s Text: Exodus 7:14-25; 8:1-15

1st Plague: Water turned to blood (vs. 14-25)

Ironic that Jesus’ first recorded miracle was turning water into wine (John 2

Both water and blood are essential elements to life (Lev. 17:11)

John 19:30 — Blood and water came from Jesus’ side

However, this blood produced death as a plague

Pharaoh’s heart was hard

2nd Plague: Frogs (Exodus 8:1-15)

Miracles Purpose

Vs. 17 — By this, you shall know that I am the Lord

Miracle’s Meaning

To show Pharaoh that God had supreme power and that he needed to let His people go (Exo. 8:10 — So he said, “Tomorrow.” And he said, “Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God”)

Exo. 5:2 — And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go.”

Who is the Lord? The One behind the signs!
