We thank you that you are with us every day of Our Lives that lured our lives are in your hands and so Lord we trust you today. To deliver your word Lord. I got a phone call from Pastor Teresa this morning about 6:59. And you know yesterday she was having a little trouble with her voice, but it just tell what it was not there this morning. And so she said that what you bring a message this morning and and she's staying home and taking care of herself and as she should and so far away is Louis Pasteur free stuff to you and Lord. We thank you that by Jesus stripes. We are healed Lord. We stand on your Covenant of promise for us that Lord not what we see and what we feel that Lord is what you said. That's what we trust Lord and our lives are in your hands and sole or we thank you for rest for pastor Teresa for strengthen her body that the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead quickens her mortal body and H in Jesus name. You and I think you all know. What's that?
Last last Sunday. I got a phone call from my sister saying she needs to talk to me and I understood what that meant because we have had been in Denver. Well two months ago is my step dad was in the hospital and they thought he wouldn't make it through the night yet. So we went out and in three days, he he got up out of the bed and said the new grab grab the Walker and walked around his in his room and then told the nurse I want to walk around you walk around the wing and God restored him and well while we were there he went home and we spent the night with him and then the next few nights they were on their own again and and he was much stronger. And so we we left and came home and and don't we had planned a family reunions for August just just finished and it was about two months, you know about 2 months ago. So he wanted to be healthy for that. He said I'll be stronger when it when you get back. And you know, we did have family reunions everybody. Was there my sister from Germany and her husband and my children my both of my sisters and their families and you know, so it was a good turnout of people from an we live in California. Well, Oklahoma everybody travel to get there and it was a great a great day and a great time and yep, and then Then on Wednesday, he had a little bout with choking and coughing and and so was it was concerning but he didn't want to go to the hospital. So send wait, we think we ought to take you to the hospital to call 911 and take you to the emergency room. And he said no. No, he didn't want to go. So the next day he was stronger and on Friday morning before we left we gather together in their living room and he was resting in the back probably in the afternoon. I was there my two sisters one of my nieces know Amy was there with me and my mom was there and we all prayed and we just put him in God's hands and let you know we've seen him rally and recover time and time again, and actually I could testify of many times that God has delivered his life from from what we thought was, you know going to be at the end up like a disease that he had in any way I move on from that. But but so we all prayed together and and so we got on the plane on Saturday and then came home and then Sunday Sunday morning to call for my sister. And well, you know, he he ran the race. He he live for God. He came into a relationship with Jesus Christ. And yeah, and so I've been thinking about I said, he's my stepdad the way I said it. He was a father to me since I was a teenager and a father to my sisters and a father to our children know she was Grandpa and the one of the nieces when she was little girl calls him foggy. So that was his name foggy. And so he wait we were his family and and he and my mom both came from broken relationships. He was divorced and had a daughter before he met my mom and my mom had three three children me for children's me and three sisters on my sister passed away and he took us all in as his own family and no we he's he's one we knew as you know, Grandpa, you know for the kids, you know, and and I If yeah, yeah, and I'm I've been thinking about what does it mean to be a father? And so I wanted to give you a couple of places in the Bible where it talks about fatherhood and being a father and these are
part part of the message here is that Coming into the place where God wants you to be often comes out of a broken place and with with my mom and I both had had this history in their lives and it's the way of the world right were born into sin and relationships can be hard and how many people are there in the relationship, but they came into a relationship with Jesus Christ and through that relationship with Jesus Christ their lives began to turn around. And at some point and I don't know exactly, you know how God worked in both of their lives. But at some point they walked into a church together and that to Crossroads Baptist Church in in Northglenn, Colorado and their lives began to change after God and live forgot and The man the man that I did I knew as a father to me, he was a man that there was there was always a home there. There was always provision there. There was always shelter there. So for me for my kids or for all of our family know anybody that was visiting Denver, we would stay there anybody who needed something that there was an answer there. And so there was a there was a wisdom and a stability that came out of him and my mom as they together serve the Lord and that stability is she in my life, you know, it was a turning point. I saw that turning point in their life and I understood to know what that means no to live for God and to follow after the things of God and them felt. So let me move on to an example from the A man I came across this verse Genesis 45 verse am sorry. We're going to go old school here today. So I told by my desktop Study Bible off my desk put my cell phone away and I don't have any Proclaim slides and you know, but just read what the Bible says and I'm going to going to read here from the King James Bible and Living Translation new King James and Amplified and whatever version of the Bible you're reading. Call on the Holy Spirit to interpret it for you. So that you understand what God saying and get past the differences that there might be between this translation in that one but go back to Genesis 45 and verse 4 say I'm going to read a little more but this is Joseph with pharaoh and his is Brothers in Egypt. So Injustice 4580 says so now it was not you that sent me hither but God and he God has made me a father to pharaoh and Lord of all his house and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. Sarah was the governing Authority and Joseph couldn't take that position, but it was delegated to him. And God put him in that position as as it's described here as a father to pharaoh and he he was over everything Lord of all his house.
So it now let me backup. You know, we we understand that Joseph was. He had Brothers, you know, and they they they live in the land where God had called them to and when he was young. He had favor from his father and he was so little punk kids, you know, the one who is little wise guy, you know, and so the older brothers didn't know there's like that very much and so they they took him when he was doing what he should have been doing and they sold him into slavery. And so he was lost to his family lost his father and his father never knew that he was still alive. And so through this being sold into slavery. He went into a house. God bless them there as he went there and did what he was supposed to do but he was falsely accused and he ended up in prison and I'm okay, so he's now not only sold into slavery but now he's in the worst place prison, but God gave him favored in the prison and and she interpret the dreams and the interpret dreams for a couple of people that were in the prison there and these were people that haven't been in prison by the king because you know, they they didn't do what he wanted at the moment, you know, sometimes the kings were the Pharaohs kings that that time work free sickle. And so if you did something that he is like you Britain prison you go or or worse. Interpret dreams and and then the Pharaoh called back these two people that were in the prison, you know, one of them was a baker so I can get the other one. I see you called them back. And so Joseph Joseph said remember me when you go before Pharaoh. Well, they didn't remember anything, you know that they were glad to get back to their life and forget the prison all together, but then Pharaoh had a dream and and then somebody remembered all yeah. There was this guy
Farrell called on him and brought him out God promoted him to a place and and he spoke with great wisdom and understanding about what was going to happen. And what was going to happen was seven years of of prosperity followed by seven years of famine. And so he began girl gave him a sortie then to to begin to prepare. So they in the years of prosperity they set aside set aside set aside. So when it came time for the famine there was provision. Now I'm going to go back a little bit here and read the 1st to first verse of Genesis 45.
M.
There's there's a lot in this story and I encourage you to it to read this because that the place I started here was talking about my my father my stepfather rich and and the broken relationship that he came out of and how God used him in his life verse 12 chapter 45. Joseph brothers are there before him and remember he tested them and sent them back and forth to know and but then Joseph could not restrain himself before them and stood by him and he cried cause every man to go out for me and their said no man with them while they didn't recognize him. They didn't know him he was And in their minds he was an Egyptian with great authority and authority over their lives. You know, they say he could do anything that he chose to do with them and verse do he wept aloud and the Egyptians in the house a pharaoh heard and Joseph said to his brother and I am Joseph does my father yet live. He was concerned for his father. He was concerned for his family and his brothers could not answer him for they were trouble that has presents at you know, what when you've done something horrible to somebody and you're confronted with it. You know, you you got to feel it. It's going to affect you right then and so Joseph said his brothers come near to me. I pray you and I came near and he said I'm Joseph your brother. This had been long before so they they didn't know they thought he was dead. He was gone that there was no hope of ever seeing him again and your brother whom you sold into Egypt now. Therefore be not grieved or angry with yourselves that you sold me your for. God to send me before you to preserve life. For these two years has the famine been in the land and yet there are five years in which there shall be neither eating earring nor Harvest and God sent me before you to preserve our posterity in the earth and to save your lies by a great Deliverance. Now, I'm going to stop there for a minute. And so they at the end of two years of famine that it happen. They had no hope they they couldn't they couldn't see their families. They didn't know where the next meal was coming from there wasn't any way in the land where they lived that they could survive. So their Last Hope was to go really begging to Egypt that they could find some provision may be there. And and what what they found is Joseph and what he said to them is you think the two years was bad. We've got five more coming. Okay, sometimes we re cinquinos. This is this is this has been difficult and the next step we take is it's it's even worse and darker and More Travel well, but God had a plan. And in God's plan it was for them to live and not die. It was for them to come together and have a place where they could live and survive and see their way through the great trouble and trial. That was come.
maybe a little after this in verse 9. Verse 8 God made me a father to pharaoh and Lord of all his house first night. He said Hasty and go up to my father and say to him that says your son Joseph. God may be Lord of all come down to me Terry not you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, then she'll be or need to be near to me you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have and there will I notice you for yet. There are five years of famine bless you and your household and all you have come to poverty. So if I stay where they were saying things were going to get worse at bad and no nothing, but there's a place that got it repaired step that they needed to take they need to move in this direction to God's calling into and he says well behold your eyes see and the eyes of my brother Benjamin that it is my mouth that speaks to you and you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all you have seen and you shall haste and bring down my father Heather and he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck at wept Benjamin Moore already kissed all his Brethren and where to find them and after that his brother and talked with him.
Jump Ahead a little bit here. So I'm verse 16. There's a fan there of a Pharaoh's house and Joseph brothers were there and you said to them in verse 17 Pharaoh said by Joseph Saint to your brethren this do laser beasts and go get to your land of Canaan and take your father in your household and come to me and I'll give you the good of the land of Egypt. Now you are commanded this do take you wag ins out of the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives and bring your father and come and also regard not your stuff for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours. so forget about everything you had over there. When you come under the covering of Joseph in Egypt under God's covering and his plan for you. You won't need any of that.
Everything you need is over here in God's promise. And God God will put it in your hands and back begin. Now take hold of it takes a wagon with you and make sure you get everybody and bring them with you and you know, this this is a relationship that Joseph was dead to them. And they were dead to him but God brought them back together put them together and put them in a position where Joseph could love them and care for them where they could have a right relationship and a normal relationship in a good relationship. Coming under the blessing of God. Another example here. This is
Job chapter 29 and you know, we know the story of Joseph so I won't say a whole lot about that but but will read a good party 229 here. You know Joe was.
at a family and is this family the devil came and and challenge drove and and his family was killed and but she first when I said, oh that I were as in months past as in the days when God preserved me when his candle shine upon my head and when by his light I walked through Darkness Joe was a blessed man wealthy wealthiest in the land and but This calamity came on and now he's remembering what it was like to walk in the blessing of God. And so that's really the takeaway here since as I was in the days of my youth when the secret of God was upon my tablet when the almighty was yet with me when my children were about we when I wash my steps with butter and The Rock weird Me Out Rivers of oil when I went out to the gate through the city when I prepared my seat in the street, the young men saw me and hit themselves and the age of rose and stood up the princess refrain talking and lay their hands on their mouths and Noble sell their peace and their tongue cleave to the roof of their mouth when they when the ear heard me then it blessed me and when I saw me they gave witness to me. He's describing what it is walking under the anointing of God, and now an inverse. Well, he says because I deliver the poor that cried in the fatherless and had none to help him the blessing of him that was ready to perish came up on me and I caused the Widow's heart to sing for Joy. I put on righteousness in a close me. My judgement was as a rogue and a diadem. I was eyes to the Blind and and feet to the Lane was a father to the poor and the cause which I knew not I searched out and I broke the wicked and pluck the soil out of his teeth, you know. This was the position that Joe was in but you you was not just wealthy to be wealthy. He was wealthy because he was a blessing that he he took care of the widows. He took care of the orphans. He searched out people that were in trouble and help help them out of that trouble. And so yes, he had great. Well, yes, he had great great Prosperity, but it wasn't just for him. It was that he could be a blessing to those who are around him. And this this was what do you walked in in the time at the beginning of his life, but also God restored him at the end of his life. So I want you to understand that those through through though. He went through great great tragedy. He understood the position that God wanted him to be in not only as a father but as a leader, And the position that God wanted him to walk in and he had experience that and he knew what that was that he walked in it.
looking here for Isaiah 22
And this is Isaiah 22 verse 21.
Reverse 20 who's a little break here at 9 ish will come to pass in that day that I will call my servant. He liked him the son of hilkiah and I will close him with my robe and strengthen him with my girl and I will chit commit your government in his hand and she he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah in the key of the House of David while he shall open and then shut you shut and then she'll open. And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place and he shall be for a glorious Throne to his father's house. and they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house The Offspring and the issue all vessels of small quantity from the
In that case is the Lord of hosts. Well, so there's a place where God called this man into his into a relationship with him and put him in a position of authority position as a father to Jerusalem. And really I'm including that because I believe we're we're in a time where as a nation. We need a father to our nation. We need a person who has a right relationship with God who's walking in the anointing of God who has the wisdom and holy spirit operating in his life that will make decisions that well and you know in the New Testament talks about correcting your children, you know, the father needs to be able to correct and so my father also needs to set the the boundary between what's holy and righteous and and separate lawlessness and so there's a place in in this role of father and that the reason I wanted to go through a couple of examples is because we don't have a good view of what fatherhood is in our nation right now in our culture know it's we've we've created an environment where it's not enough for a mother to raise your children or family, you know got to have a career and I got two and so it is not is we're not in a place where a man can provide for his family are is expected to know we we have shifted the roles and shifted accountabilities for so that her father is is just just a person and a family doesn't necessarily need a father because a woman can provide for her kids and no woman can raise her kids send in fact in in some such a Nations it's for for a woman to get the help. She needs from the government. You know, she can't have a father in the house. And so we're we have constructed in our culture this this environment where a father's unwelcome and and that's that's not what God intended. When when we think about what it means to be a father. It's to be a provider is to be a leader is to be the head of the house. It's it's an end. So we need to have a right view of what it means to be a father. Now, if we if we take our if we take our view of our cultural view of what a father is think about God who says he's our father well, Weave weave diminished that roll weave weave undermined that role and we we need to come to a place where we understand the authority and the power that comes from a father. And what is it a father desires to do care for his children. Love them nurture them raise them up bring them in the right way and and that Authority sometimes I know we we we come face-to-face with that Authority and and well there's this word in the New Testament, you know, John the Baptist talks about repentance and turn your life around to know that lives away prepare the way of the Lord and sometimes we come face-to-face with that Authority and we don't like it we know because we want to go do something else but God is the ultimate Authority and God knows the things that we need to do two things the way that we need to live the way we need to stand. The way we need to be in our life and we need to understand that that when we talked about father God, we're not talking about father man from the United States, you know in this role that men are subjected to today. You know how we're talking about something different. This is this is where we need to trust and and understand God's word and who God really is and view him as he is and not how we made him to be.
I'm just going to read 11 little verse for your from the 1st Corinthians.
1st Corinthians, 4:15
Or do you have 10,000 and yet you have not many fathers for in Christ Jesus. I have begotten you through the gospel. Now, this is Paul riding to the church there. No, he came and brought a message to them that that you're living in the world you're living in sin and death, you know of the Corinthian so we'll see how this was not a place where everyone was a Christian, you know, there's this other culture that rule and Reign there and Paul came with the gospel of the Kingdom Gospel of Jesus Christ, and some people accepted that and as they were born into the kingdom. They made this transition from The Way of the World to the kingdom of God and call with a father to them and as father to them, they should listen to what he has to say because he has some things in Corinthians. That are to correct them to remind them. That's it. This is the way over here not that's the way you lived before but this way over here. This is the way you need to be. This is the way you need to go. There are people that that God has established in our lives with an authority to to Mentor us to teach us to lead us. I don't want to point to any any man as the one who should be teaching about. I want to point you to the Holy Spirit and do the Bible and you should be able to come into a right relationship, but there are times when we we together, you know, we we want to understand the fullness of who God is and remind ourselves that got God's on the wrong Jesus seated at his right hand and everything belongs to him are our lives are in him are being is in him our way of life in this country is in him and and there's no Authority. Okay, so I'm I'm going to deviate from where where I intended to go and and Cher Something with you from our experience in Denver, you know, we pray before we before we left that God would would see you safely there and back for protection over everyone while we were there and and I believe when we pray God hears us and God answers our prayers and I'll tell you I'm here and I got answered our prayer we're here but we might my son his wife is 37 3 and 1/2 months and they came and they were headed home. I think I forget what day it was. But anyway the day before they were going home. We met with him and Boulder and we hang out in the mall in Boulder to Denver been there. I don't know if it's a nice place to to see and you got the mounts on one side and a beautiful place to just kind of hang out and They have some little Boulders for kids to play on climb up, you know, they're decide that you know, and so we we were there with them and and my daughter had said to babysit the kids tonight. So you guys can go out and have dinner alone because you know, the three kids and then anyway, so we left and we headed back to Fort Collins. We were staying with Alex and Shawna son and daughter.
So we we had dinner with them and and you know, I don't know 8 or 8:30 or so at night. I got a text from my daughter saying Caroline three-year-old having allergic reaction and Susan and Jason were taking her to the emergency room. And they they have James and Caroline both have some allergies Milliken nuts and you know, so they've had to deal with those kind of things to do times. But okay, so I went and sat down on the couch with him a little bit and I'm sitting on the couch there. I thought you had this talk kind of my mind. I need to go and play with your wife. So I went got no Amy went upstairs and where it where we were staying in and we knelt down by the side of the bed and we prayed for the devil take his hand off if he has no authority to take those children that their God speed and that they're they're our inheritance in the world. You know, God's God's given us children to raise up in the right way and we've we've raised them and and Susan and Jason are serving the lord and these kids are being raised in the right way. And and so we prayed and I thought okay, so I need to call my daughter. I caught pick up the phone and called her and I hear a little little Audrey 14 months. I was just screaming in the background. You know, my my daughter is Panax, you know, and and
didn't we didn't quite know what was going on there, but we got in the car. So just get the cards 50 minute drive to Broomfield Colorado. And so we we got in the car and started driving and we found out that James was having trouble breathing and he has an inhaler and so my daughter gave me an inhaler and wait a few minutes and then hail again wait a few minutes and it wasn't any better. So she called Susan said we're bringing him to the hospital to so they brought him to the hospital. So both of them were in the hospital in Broomfield and Then my son says they don't have what not neonatal-perinatal. I don't know what they call the Pediatric Intensive Care at this Hospital. They're going to fly him to Anschutz Hospital in Aurora. And so they put him on the helicopter and took him to the other hospital. And so we redirect it ourselves there and Jason drove over there. So Susan is here with Caroline. And Jason is on his way over there with James and Afraid when we get there you'll be you'll be sitting up and and that well, I don't know exactly but okay, so we get into the emergency we get into the emergency room at at Anschutz and the Jason is up there in the room with Chase and they won't let anybody but family be there and so Jace Jason came down after a little bit and he all he has a picture of James and James is sitting You know and then James came down. He said when I got here James was sitting up in the bed barking out orders at the nurse. I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I have to go to the bathroom and he said I knew he was feeling much better. We didn't find out until later that in Broomfield when they brought James in lips were blue body stiff the doctor stayed with him in the emergency room for 2 hours. So, you know this they gave him a pecan and then but you know, this could have been a very different situation but God No, it's what we have need of and I could I could go on and tell you a little little things that happen along the way I'll just I'll just add people that were in the right place no to to help and to make this thing work and I just give you one more my one niece, who was there that night Sonya nail Intensive Care Nursing and probably part of the reason that they said Now's the Time to go to the hospital now, we can't wait we got to go. No, but she had a friend that she works with and when she was recording us right to her friend her friend said, oh, I know I know that team that runs on that was on the helicopter and she said I would trust my own kids with them. They're the best team around to know God put people in the right place at the right time and But you know I got from also prompted. We we pray beforehand, but God also prompted us to pray right in at the right time right in the middle of it and God answers our prayers and well, let me move forward here for a minute because some
Yeah, they're all home. They're all homes are all safe. They're all good. Yes. Yeah. So I want to go here, too.
Ephesians chapter 1
and I'm going to be I'm going to read first to hear. Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. And we often think got God as Father Son and Holy Spirit and we often think of that must be one and that they are one but this role of father is different route. Then Jesus Christ Jesus Christ pay the price for our sins and shed his blood for us that we could be forgiven and we could be brought into right relationship with the father. And this word this used here at grace to you. I had a conversation with another guy while back and he said that word Grace really is can be read as the power of God the power of God to you and peace from God. And for the Lord Jesus Christ know he goes on and verse 3 and says blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ. God the father took action on our behalf to provide what we needed for life and godliness to provide what we needed to come into right relationship with him and verse for according as he has chosen Us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be home before him and love that are broken relationship the life we were born into this world of sin and death that were born into that broken relationship would be restored and we can come into the love of the father and experience coming under his covering. And trusting him as our provider as the one the one who knows us better than we know ourselves the one who created us the one who's given us gifts and abilities who knows navigation that we need today and through our life to come into the fullness. Not just the good and acceptable, but the perfect will of God that's the place that we want to be in in that place that relationship with God the Father.
To the praise of his glory wearing he has made us accepted 11 in him. We have Redemption through the blood forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. Wherein he has a ballon de toward us in all wisdom and Prudence having made known to us. The mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in himself that in the dispensation of the fullness of time. He might gather together in one all things in Christ. Which are in heaven and in Earth. in home, we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will that we should be to the praise of Glory the first president we
We know the world and we live in the world and and we're influenced by the world the things we see feel and touch that's part of our physical makeup and the natural world has a voice of its own a draw of its own but there's another realm that God has called us into and it's from this realm that we bring into this world. The manifestation of God's love in our lives just as Joseph said God made me the father father to pharaoh. Got God made him that he he didn't do it himself. God directed his steps now his steps were pretty brutal right sold into poverty. I mean sold into slavery falsely accused put in prison and then then God lifted him up and put him in the position. He was intended to be in and restored his relationships. We we have sometimes a short. Vision of what God is going to do know and he's got it. Why didn't God do it this this week? Why didn't I do it today? Why didn't it happen right now, but God has a different View and and there will be a time when God will restore those things that are broken but God will bring us into the place. He's had for us and frankly. There are some who that will come in in heaven, you know, there are those who are throwing Revelation who say how long or how long and he says a little longer until others are also brought into this place. No and they were given white robes. And but so it may not happen the way we think about to happen or the way we want it to happen, but God has a plan and a purpose for us.
I'm going to jump ahead if he has two and you has quickened who are dead and trespassing Sims. We're in a time pass. You walked according the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the year. The spirit that now works in the children of Disobedience among whom we all had our conversation has passed in the last of our flash fulfilling the desires of The Flash in the mine and we're by nature in the children of Wrath. I even as others I started with a little account of my step dad and my mom both broken marriages both with children from their broken marriages, but they came to a place in their life where they came into a relationship with Jesus Christ and where they walked into a church together and and for I don't want more years than I can count. You know, let's see 60 years. They've been a part of that church and and their their life their life has been around the same sin that church and their relationships and and not that they didn't have other things. You know, he he was heavily involved with promise Keepers. If you remember that my mom was heavily involved with the Colorado homeless families send their life centered around the church and around our family. and all of us we are we were all part of that family and part of that that blessing, you know, God God bless us when we come together that way and
Okay. There's a lot we could cover here in a fusion tonight. I just wanted to come to this place.
and if he's in chapter 4 verse 20 He says you have but you have not learned Christ. He's talking about this way of life over here. You not learned price that way for 21. If so be that you heard him and have been taught by him as the truth is in Jesus that you put off the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful less and be renewed in the spirit of your mind that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Hello there. Is a way of life that God has for us and we need to learn that way know. We're we're in this flesh and this flesh lives that way unless we take a sword and step into the kingdom of God and put on the new man.
When it jump ahead to 5:1 be there for followers of God as do your children and walk in love as Christ also has loved us and is giving self for it and offering sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor.
I'm in verse 8 chapter 5 verse 8 or you are sometimes Darkness but now you are light in the Lord walk as children of light for the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and Truth proving what is acceptable to the Lord? I want their self place of self-examination for each of us as we go from day-to-day and no we're we're being transformed into the image of Christ. That's what God wants to do is transform us into that. Are are we being transformed are there things in our life that we need to examine and deal with and frankly, you know been a Christian for a while and there are things that that come up in my life that I still need to deal with, you know, and okay. Why am I still dealing with that? Well, it's just the reality of life and I need to put on the new man. I need to live the way God has called me to live in. And verse 11 have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. And can I come to the place where I recognize that thing is to strike best destructive behavior and okay once I recognize that's destructive Behavior All right, what Behavior replaces that what what's the righteous way that I should be behaving and can I mail when I recognize that behavior? Now I know I should be operating that way and I know operate that way, you know, sometimes we need to capture a thought here and wait a minute. That's that's the old behavior and I'm I'm not going to live that way anymore. I'm going to live this way now and we have to retrain ourselves. We have to learn we have to refresh ourselves from time to time and well, I think I'll finish with with this.
It said if he is in 525.
We talked about fathers, but in in God's Kingdom.
Father and mother and children and raising a Godly seed but has 525 says husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it gave himself for it. No, there's a role as a father as provider, which means that that your family is pulling from you is drawing from you is taking from you and sometimes that can be a heavy weight and and sometimes we don't we don't feel like we are able to supply what our families need and that's a difficult position for the father to be able to provide and so we we need to trust God to move us from the position. We're in into a place where we can provide for them and Verse 26 that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of Water by the word. There's another piece of this that I didn't didn't get into there's there's the role of you in the family. That's the role of father but also the role of priests and the one as that they the head of the house the one who should be pointing to God. This is this is this is the way walk in it. You know, this is this was Joe blocked in in that kind of anointing where you know, he brought his family along and well they didn't they didn't follow necessarily Joseph brought his whole family in in God. God bless them all and he he was the one drawing them into a relationship into a place where they could come under the cover of God our Father and and walk in that blessing. Purse 27 that he might present it to him while this is talking about Jesus Christ and the church that he might resent the church. We can sell us the Glorious church not having a spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. So I meant to love their wives as their own bodies that loves his wife loves himself for no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes that even as the Lord the church For we are members of his body of his flesh and have his bones. Okay. Well, I'll read it one more for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife and the two shall be one flesh is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ's Church. No less let everyone of you in particular. So love his wife even as himself and the wife so that she reverence her husband. There is a call Cheryl view of what it means to be a husband and a father in in our in our culture and that that view is is the role of a father is greatly diminished way. We need to bring ourselves back to the place that God has called us to be known in these couple of examples of God list of Joseph up to be not only a father to his family but a father to the nation and a father to the government of that Nation the Pharaoh, and there's a position that God has for us not not just to take care. Marcel's but take care of our family and be provider for our family. And so father. We thank you today for the power of your word to change our hearts and our minds and lure to draw us to a place where we Larkin and follow after you where we can stand and be the people you called us to be or help us to be an example to our children as Rich was an example to the father. I thank you for the life that he lived in the time that you gave to to not only to us, but Lord to my mother into Lord to take care of the church can to support the work of the church and their work of the ministry that was going for some that place and Lord. I Thank you for his his hand reaching out to other Ministries that that brought great change in people's father. I thank you for that. He's come into your presence now and Lord. He's no longer feeling any pain or two years or Lori, but we look forward to the United with him in you in Jesus name amen
Well, this this all revolves around one pivotal point the moment where they accepted where my mom and Rich themselves accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of their life and I didn't live through riches life before that happened, but I did live through my mother's life before that happened. And I know that she love me, you know, she was a mother and she care for me and no but there was turmoil in her life. There were challenges in her life that she didn't know how to deal with when she came in there was a piece and a strength that came into her and she stepped into the role that the full role of being a mother that that she know that only happens when when we call on him and Jesus said either comes to me I will in no wise cast out.
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. So if there's someone who hears this message and you've never called in the name of the Lord It's a simple thing to do. Just ask him. He said if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you'll be saved or with the mouse. With the heart man believeth unto righteousness. And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I'll simply say these words I believe in my heart Jesus Christ is the son of God. I believe that he was raised from the dead from my justification and I confess it now as my Lord.
Lord we thank you that we have all come into that saving knowledge of who you are and we thank you Lord for your holy spirit that was poured out for us that your holy spirit is our comforter. Our teacher are guy and Lord. I ask you by your Holy Spirit to to seal the specific words and each person's heart hear that they need to hear from you Lord. What whether it's to take a stronger role in their family weather is to recognize the the role of others and be willing to receive that that leadership or whether it's to honor those around us at Lourdes wheat you called, each one of us to love those around us as we love ourselves help us Lord to step into the fullness of the role that you have for us. Your perfect will for our lives.
amen
Well, if I were in the back, I would be able to push the button on the slides and pray for Israel using the versus the pastor trees that uses and and well, okay, so we'll just we'll just pray for Israel as I think to pray for them and father. We lift up Israel and Lord. There is a Remnant there that you desire to preserve and Lauren there is ground there that you gave to these people and you establish them as a nation and Lord. We thank you for raising up leaders in that Nation to listen to hear and to do what you commanded them to do Lord. We thank you for your protection over that nation and Lord. We we speak. We speak life to the Jewish people and Lord. We know it's your desire to remove the veil and show them Jesus Christ is Lord that Jesus Christ is Lord and He is their savior as well as our And father we speak against this anti-Semitism has risen up in our nation and Lord. We ask you Lord to intervene on the behalf of Israel and the Jewish people too quiet and stop and quench that voice of death and destruction and instead more. We speak love and life and peace that those people would come to know you for who you are and let go of their hate and their bitterness in Jesus name.
Well if you would stand up.
By the way, thank you for the power of your word working in us. We thank you for the power of your Holy Spirit working in us and father out your blessing in our lives.
