We Are To Overcome

I. We Can Overcome, Because Jesus Overcome

A. We Overcome, Because Great is He That is in You

1 John 4:4 “4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

B. If You Are Born of God, We Have the Victory to Overcome the World

1 John 5:4 “4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

C. You Overcome the Wicked One, Because You Have Known the Father

1 John 2:13 “13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.”

D. We Are to Overcome Evil with Good

Romans 12:21 “21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

E. We Overcome Because We Believe in the Son of God

1 John 5:5 “5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

II. If We Overcome:

A. We Will Eat of the Tree of Life

Revelation 2:7 “7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

B. We Will Not be Hurt by the Second Death, Go to Hell

C. Jesus Will Give Us to Eat of the Hidden Manna

Revelation 2:17 “17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”

D. If We Keep God’s Work, We Will Have Power Over Nations

Revelation 2:26 “26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:”

E. If We Overcome, We Will Be Clothed in White Raiment, and Jesus Will Not Blot Out Our Name of the Book of Life

F. Jesus Will Confess Our Name Before the Father

Revelation 3:5 “5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

G. If We Overcome, Jesus Will Make Us a Pillar in the Temple of God

H. If We Overcome, We Will Go to the New Jerusalem

Revelation 3:12 “12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”

III. Satan Will Make War With the Saints

A. Satan Will Ascend Out of the Bottomless Pit and Kill Them

Revelation 11:7 “7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.”

B. God Let Satan to Make War Against the Saints and Power Over All Kindreds, Tongues, and Nations

Revelation 13:7 “7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

IV. The Lamb Will Overcome Satan

A. Jesus is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Because He is Called, the Chosen One, and is Faithful

Revelation 17:14 “14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”

B. In the End, Those Who Overcome Will Inherit All Things, and He Will Be Our God and We Will Be His Sons

Revelation 21:7 “7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
