Visible grace

Welcome to the first Marked by Grace
Over the last few years I have seen a drastic change of direction and a redefining of what my life is
For those who don't know we have dealt with loss, major health issues, and for the first time in 30 years I am not on a Pastoral staff.
It has afforded me time to look back
What I have seen is a life marked by the Grace of God
From Trials to triumphs, he has been there
Grace is huge subject and I started thinking that many are not able to see the breadth and depth of what Grace is.
The simple definition of Grace is

God’s free favor toward ill-deserving people

Ephesians 2:8–10 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Is Grace just forgiveness or God’s leniency
Grace is not simply leniency when we have sinned. Grace is the enabling gift of God not to sin. Grace is power, not just pardon.
John Piper
Ephesians 2:8–9 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Grace is not....
Not earned
Not a license to do whatever you want
Grace is ....
Gift
More than a rescue
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Four: Get out of the Graveyard (Ephesians 2:1–10)

Since we have not been saved by our good works, we cannot be lost by our bad works. Grace means salvation completely apart from any merit or works on our part. Grace means that God does it all for Jesus’ sake! Our salvation is the gift of God

-Warren Wiersbe
Ephesians 2:10 ESV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Grace is more
More than just our eternity
Grace is what we need each day
So the question is,
How do we live lives that are marked by Grace?
That’s what this is about..
A conversation and a search for Grace in everyday and every circumstance.
Nothing fancy, no studio or expensive recording equipment, although maybe one day
Just you and me, taking this journey together
Please post your comments and questions and I will reply as soon as I can.
