Introduction:
I’m me if the things we know about God is that he is a Judge:
A judge: is …
Defend what is right and what is just.
In my opinion:
Judges are the most powerful people on earth.
Genesis 1:4-5
”And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.“
God is the judge of His works
God sees: He observes and inspects His works
God saw the light that was made.
He looks at something and He pays attention to it.
God examines what He has done.
Nothing is hidden from God.
He sees what is obvious and what Is hidden.
He sees our thoughts before they become action.
God calls: He names and identifies things as they are
He calls the light day.
He names and identifies things as they are.
When God sees Sin; He will call it as it is.
He names and called the sin of Adam and Eve.
Cain and Able
Noah drunk
He names it and calls it
Abraham Lies
Moses
Eli’s children.
David
God sees and God calls.
God divides: He separates and sets things apart
God divided the darkness from the light.
He saw it, He called it and He separated it.
The Holy is separated from the unholy.
The righteous is separated from the abominable.
God doesn’t mix things together;
He separates and calls it as it is.
HE SEES; HE CALLS; HE SEPARATES
How God judges us
Genesis 2:9
”And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.“
Genesis 2:16-17
”And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”“
Genesis 2:16-17 NKJV
There is a process;
God Just doesn’t wake up and judge us:
He gives us options to choose from
Humans have free will;
We are made accountable to our actions
It makes us responsible for our actions.
Making everything responsible for your actions except you.
You have options in life;
You can be good and bad
You can be a fool and you can be wise.
You can be rich and you can be poor.
He shows us the best choice to make
He tells Adam what to choose;
God does not leave us blindly
He points us to the right way
We have divine guidance
God points us to what is best for you.
You can have 2 choices but one is better for you.
He tells us the consequences of our choices
In the day you eat the wrong tree, you shall surely die.
There are some lessons that do not teach you anything.
Experience is not always the best teacher; sometimes it can be the worst teacher.
He judges us based on the choices we make
By the time we get to God’s judgement we will have no one to blame but ourselves.
It will come after we have neglected the choices he gave us, the guidance he gave us, and the consequences he has told us about.
Then judgement will come.
