Introduction

Hello Dwell, this is Kenneth.
[1 second pause]
Today is Sunday, October 20th. Thanks for joining us for today's Dwell Kids Daily!
[2 seconds of silence]
For the next few minutes, I invite you to join me as we look to our Great King by opening our hearts to hear from Him through the words of the Bible.
[2 seconds of silence]
Silence
As we begin, let us remember that God calls His people, young and old, to be still and know that He is God. Let's take a few seconds to clear our minds, so that we can hear him better.
[5 seconds of silence]
Opening Prayer
(Sunday)
Father, we rejoice that you have given us a new day to worship you. Today, give us a new song in our heart – a song of praise.
[3 seconds of silence]
Passage
Today we’ll be reflecting on Psalm 3 verse 8. Let me read it now:
English Standard Version (Psalm 3)
Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah

Exhortation
Here is a simple, but wildly wonderful truth. God has a family. He has people that are his. Now, who is this family? Who are these people? Well, they are those that have received the blessing of salvation.
Let me explain, as you know the world is broken. Humans don’t live in the Garden of Eden anymore, we live in the wilderness of the world. Humans are lost and wondering hopelessly through life. We need to be saved. We need to be rescued and healed. And that is just what God is doing! He sent his Son to bring salvation to a weary world. Salvation is a word that has to do with being saved out of a bad situation. The Psalmist in our passage today says that “Salvation belongs to the LORD.” It doesn’t belong to anyone else, meaning only God can save us. We can’t fix our brokenness. We can’t heal our own hearts. We can’t overcome the evil one. But God can. He can do all of those things! And, He’s doing them every day. Salvation belongs to the Lord!
So his people are those who receive the blessing of Salvation. They are saved, they are healed, they are forgiven, and they are adopted into his holy family. What a wonderful reality! To receive the blessing of salvation, we follow Jesus, the Saving King, and walk in the Spirit. The Bible sometimes refers to those who follow King Jesus as disciples. You may remember that Jesus had disciples. These were the people that dropped everything they were doing to follow him.
Do you follow Jesus and walk in the Spirit? Have you received the blessing of salvation? Is Jesus your Saving King? If you said yes, then you are in God’s forever family. You are one of his disciples. How amazing that?
Call to Action: Let’s take a moment, to reflect on the wonder of being in God’s family.
[7 seconds of silence]
Closing Prayer
Let’s pray together.
[3 seconds of silence]
Father, we are your people. We are your sons and daughters. We are your disciples, because you have saved us. Thank you so much for sending your saving Son! Thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit as a helper. Please teach us to delight in your will and walk in your ways, as faithful disciples. We ask this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Outro

"It's been great to be with you today."
Tomorrow, we'll be in a passage that was written my one of Jesus’ original disciples, Matthew 9:37-38. Until then, go in peace, and let the word of King Jesus dwell in you richly.
[2 seconds of silence]
Alternate Outro (Record Every Time)
Now, go in peace, and let the word of King Jesus dwell in you richly.
