Psalm 18:35
Psalm 18:35
English Standard Version (Psalm 18)
35 You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness has made me great.
36 You gave a wide
place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.
Psalms I 1–50: Introduction, Translation, and Notes (Notes)
Here we have a picture of God the Father lowering celestial weapons into the arms of His earthly warriors. The eternal God is reaching down not to squash you, but to gently aid you in the miraculous art of spiritual warfare
Churches practicing gentleness would have the “greater factor, and increased stability.”
4:3
King James Version (Chapter 4)
3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
“Bind us together Lord bind us together with cords that cannot be broken.”
King James Version (Psalm 133)
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing,
Even life for evermore.
Both High and Low drink from this unity
**Unity is a gift. We are eager to maintain it.
